Boxes Damaged, But Decent Overall
Wanted to love this, but the boxes that hold the food arrived damaged. Also the "orange" is more like a ball. Overall, we wanted to upgrade my son's plastic food set with a high quality wooden one, but I'm not sure this will stand the test of time since it broke in transit.

Too large
The fruits and vegetables are actual size....really large. This may work for some children, but not my grandaughter, Who prefers it more to childrens scale. She doesn't play with them at all but chooses smaller ones.

Overall the wonderful and the kids love them! I had bought them to replace some old plastic food toys, specially the toast because the boy LOVES toast and the plastic one broke and had to be thrown away. The items that came from Melissa and Doug are great quality! I was a little disappointed with the toast though because it was the only thing not painted and was a little rough. I feel like that could be improved. Everything else was awesome! Thank you!

What type of paint is used?
My kid started chewing on some of the toys and some of the paint came off. Can you let me know what type of paint this is? Is it food safe at all? I hope so…
