This Chair made its debut in 1972 and has been going strong ever since (Stokke calls it a “chair for life” for a reason). Devotees love the iconic Scandinavian design that’s highly functional and looks great with your grown-up decor.
This versatile chair brings baby right up to the table to join the family meal. The adjustable design has both depth-and height-adjustable seat and footplates for ergonomic seating position at any age. The footplate effectively brings the floor up to your child, allowing for greater balance, comfort and freedom of movement.
Norwegian manufacturer Stokke makes the chairs from high-quality, solid European beech or oak wood with an attention to craftsmanship. The Tripp Trapp is a sturdy piece of furniture that would be very hard for a child to tip, even for toddlers who are climbing in and out of the chair on their own.
To use the Tripp Trapp from birth, start with the Newborn Set. This accessory allows you to use the Tripp Trapp chair from birth up to 20 lbs. Comfortable and ergonomic, the Tripp Trapp Newborn Set cradles newborns and lifts them up to table height. This promotes eye contact and interaction during meals, and helps keep baby close. The Newborn Set is angle adjustable with a 5-point safety harness and shoulder pads for comfort. A Toy Hanger also keeps their favorite toys close.
After the Newborn Set, switch to the Baby Set to provide support and stability starting around six months. When baby is learning to sit, the Baby Set gives little ones comfortable side and back support. It also provides freedom of movement and helps teach them the important skill of sitting. When they can confidently climb in and out of their chair on their own, you can remove the Baby Set. This latest version has an updated safe and intuitive harness buckle, two click-in points and a quick, one-click release button. You can completely remove the harness for easier cleaning (it’s machine wash safe) and attach it back in about 30 seconds.

What is the cushion and tray material made of?
Is the rubber part of the harness on the oak brown colorway a tonal brown as pictured? Harness is labeled as black in the color description but I can’t tell which piece of equipment this is referring to?

Fabulous and Versatile!
This is the third one that we’ve purchase, one for each of our daughter’s children. She loves them! The older two really enjoy them and the versatility as they grow is wonderful! Thank you for such a great product!

Perfect for us!
We have had the tripp trapp for over a year and have LOVED it. So much in fact, we got another one for our new baby coming! My kids have loved being able to be so close to us at the table and not feel so removed from all the family dinners and gatherings around our table! I love that my babies are safe, and the chair can grow as they grow! The chair itself is super high quality and is going to last forever! It helps thats it's gorgeous around the table too! Big Tripp Trapp fans here!

Easy to Assemble and Great for Growing with Baby
The Stokke Tripp Trapp chair is easy to assemble, and I especially like that it comes with different sets and configurations to accommodate different stages of a baby’s growth. It’s designed to grow with the child, so it can be used for many years. The chair feels very sturdy and stable, and I’m very happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend it!

Great chair!
I have 6 children, and we’ve been using only Stokke chairs for over 10 years. We started with the bouncer, and now the oldest ones have these chairs at their desks. I’m absolutely thrilled with the quality — the paint doesn’t wear off even with scrubbing, and the wood is very resistant to dents and scratches. They still look brand new. Highly recommend!

Arrived with stains and missing component
I received the Tripp Trapp Newborn Set as a gift for my baby shower, ordered directly from the Stokke website, and upon arrival the liner material was clearly used and returned by another customer. There were stains from previous use and one of the shoulder pads was missing.
Stokke customer service has been of no help trying to get a replacement of the liner and the missing shoulder pad. Very disappointing that my family spent so much money on a product of subpar quality.

Great value
My baby is 3 weeks now and she started lying on the newborn set on the chair since week 1! She loves lying by our side when we are having meals, doing chores, and even napping on it during the day. I can see that she loves the chair and it’s super comfortable

Best ever
The Stokke Tripp Trapp is sturdy, well-made, and adjusts as your child grows — so it lasts way past the typical high chair phase. Lets them sit right at table height with the family. A bit pricey, but worth every penny. Highly recommend.

THE BEST EVER
We absolutely love it!!! The fact we can use it for our newborn and adjust it for our toddler is perfect. We live in a small home so the way it adjusts to our lives with barely any work and takes up no room is exactly what we need. And it’s beautiful!!!!
