Let's talk: "you're going to miss this someday"

Have you been frustrated that you’re not enjoying every moment of the newborn phase? (Especially if you’ve had maternity leave & it’s coming to an end.) Big reminder: this feeling is so normal. (Just check out any 10-week postpartum forums 😂)

But it can also make the common passing comment “you’re going to miss this someday” tough to swallow. So we thought this take on the “you’ll miss this” people was sweet:

“They want to connect with you,” writes the author. “It doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong by wishing away an hour or a day or even a year. It doesn't mean you have to change your perspective or your behavior. You will miss this one day because that’s the nature of being a person. And the people telling you that already know this.”
