Please note: these are the newest adapter models. If you have an older adapter (made prior to November 2021), it may be slightly trickier to use with your City Mini GT2.

The reviews listed that talk about difficulty or incompatibility are referring to an older version of the adapter. The adapter has since been updated and works perfectly with a City Mini 2 or GT2. All adapters sold under this listing are the most recent version.

Terrible - Attachment doesn't attach
The Chicco adapter absolutely does not fit the GT2 stroller. The fabric around the attachment point is far too tight to push the car seat adapter in. Even when we muscled the adaptor to click in place, the car seat adaptor popped immediately out of the stroller with the slightest touch. Same issue when we tried loosening the fabric to fit the adaptor. The tension of the fabric does NOT allow this adaptor to fit. Also we contacted baby jogger about this issue weeks ago, and have not gotten any…

YES, this adapter WORKS! (Chicco KeyFit 35)
Purchased City Mini GT2 (single) in October 2023 and Chicco car seat adapter in November 2023. Happy to report that they ARE compatible. Just be sure to READ what you’re purchasing! It’s not Baby Joggers fault you missed the print that said not compatible with double stroller or so on.
Adapter also works PERFECTLY for my Chicco KeyFit 35 car seat. No issues here and would recommend! We purchased the stroller on Amazon but purchased adapter directly through Baby Jogger website.

Incompatible and too expensive
The price for the adaptor is way to expensive. Also when we unfold the stroller and fold it back up the adaptor unsnaps. This is very unsafe. It this normal? I need someone to contact me.

STAY AWAY. Adapter does not stay attached
Does not stay attached to stroller. This renders it useless and very unsafe. Need to return both the adapter and the stroller now. HUGE inconvenience and terrible product they’re still selling.

Fits our Car seat
This fit our Chicco KeyFit30 with no issues and minimal stress during install. Have not tested it with a live baby yet, but seems like it will be so useful until our newborn is old enough to sit in the actual stroller. Only negative is it makes the stroller storage setup a bit bulky and awkward.

Incompatible with stroller!
I thought I was going crazy since I haven’t been able to get the adapter to fit properly on our stroller despite it being the corrrct model and adapter. Wish I had seen these other reviews earlier… We ended up taking the adapter off earlier than we would have wanted to otherwise. Now we don’t need it but we are saving the stroller for another baby down the road. No idea what we are supposed to do about an adapter. It was never stable and always felt a bit precarious.

Incompatible
I put this adapter together and tried to install it, and it won't fit. The retailer I bought it from (Babylist) won't accept the return once it's been taken out of the box and put together. I currently have this nice expensive City Mini GT2 stroller that I can't use for my infant.

Works perfectly!
I was a bit worried reading through these reviews that this wasn’t going to work correctly. It works PERFECTLY though. Easy to install and fits my Chicco Keyfit 30 perfectly. Whatever the previous issue was, they seem to have it fixed! I do wish I could leave it attached when folding up my stroller, but overall very happy with my purchase!
