Description

While we hope this is a kit you won’t need, most babies will get sick or hurt from time to time. So we worked with emergency room doctors (and parents) to help you feel prepared if and when that time comes. These hospital-grade medical supplies and soothers were ones they depended on in their daily practice.

The kit goes beyond the essentials and shares important information about how to use them, plus when to level up (call 9-1-1 or head to the ER). Consider it peace of mind packed in a box.

In the kit:

  • Full-sized items
  • Hospital-grade products
  • Informational booklet
    • Red flags to call 9-1-1 or go to the ER
    • Infant/toddler CPR
    • Step-by-step instructions written by emergency doctors (and more)

We separated the baby-care essentials and guidance into two groupings, Mend and Tend. Everything comes in a First Aid Kit Case for easy organization.

Note: This kit does not include Band-Aids, as they can be a choking hazard for babies and toddlers. Please see more about this below.

MEND

These products are for treating rashes and fever and improving congestion. Also included: a fever medication dosing chart, infant/toddler CPR guide, instructions on using the nasal suction and taking baby’s temperature.

Gauze 2x2 (4 packets)

Made from a rayon/polyester blend, this strong non-adherent sterile gauze wicks away blood and other fluids quickly.

Gauze 4x4 (4 packets)

Larger sterile gauze sponges made from 100% cotton for when more coverage is needed.

Sprucely 3 in 1 Digital Thermometer

This 3-in-1 digital thermometer gives accurate temperature reads in five seconds. It can be used orally, under the arm or rectally.

Surgical Lubricant (3 packets)

Pair this sterile lubricant with the rectal thermometer to help make the temperature-taking process much more comfortable for baby.

Alcohol Prep Pads (6 packets)

Saturated with 70% isopropyl alcohol, the pads remove bacteria from the rectal thermometer after use.

Boudreaux’s Butt Paste Maximum Strength Diaper Rash Cream

Made with 40% zinc oxide, the thick, cream-like paste soothes on contact, seals out moisture and provides overnight protection. It’s free from dyes, preservatives, parabens and talc.

Sprucely Silicone Nasal Bulb Aspirator

Clear congestion with a simple squeeze. Once you’re done, the clear bulb shows you how much mucus has been collected (good news: it’s easy to clean).

Sprucely Soft Gel Cold Pack

When chilled (it can go in the fridge or freezer), the gel pack provides soothing relief for little bumps and bruises. Note: this should not be used for teething.

Boogie Wipes Saline Spray + Drops

Non-medicated natural saline helps ease baby’s congestion. The dual-action tip is specially designed for controlled dropping or gentle spraying. Age: 0+

Boogie Wipes Saline Nose Wipes

Made with aloe, chamomile and vitamin E, these gentle-on-skin wipes are an effective alternative to dry tissues. The natural saline formula breaks down dried boogers without irritation. Age: 0+

TEND

These products are for grooming baby, soothing and relieving teething pain and tiredness. Also included: important information on cradle cap (more common than you might think!) and trimming those tiny newborn nails.

Sprucely Silicone Pacifier

The one-piece construction is made from BPA-free, food-grade silicone with holes on each side for airflow. Age: 0-6 months.

Earth Mama Calendula Baby Oil, 1 fl oz

Naturally unscented, this oil is formulated to be safe for newborn skin and scalp. It’s made with light, easily absorbable grapeseed oil infused with organic calendula and organic jojoba oil.

Sprucely Cooling Teether (2 pack)

Made with food-grade silicone and EVA, these water-filled teethers offer teething relief and sensory stimulation.

Sprucely Silicone Finger Toothbrush with Case

Slide the toothbrush onto your finger, wet with water and apply a small amount of baby-safe toothpaste to gently cleanse gums and teeth.

Sprucely Baby Nail Clippers & Scissors

The easy-grip handle, rounded-tip and curved edges help you confidently trim the tiniest of nails.

Sprucely Emery Board (10 pack)

Emery boards help smooth out sharp nail edges while avoiding the possibility of nicks.

Sprucely Brush & Comb Set

Use the brush in soft strokes to brush baby’s hair, while the comb gently detangles. Together, they help loosen and lift cradle cap flakes.

Baby First Aid Kit Case

This durable canvas case fits all the First Aid Kit components. It features a front zipper pocket, dual zipper, two clear plastic interior zipper pockets, large mesh zipper interior pocket with four additional storage pockets and a large zippered plastic pocket.

You might be wondering why this Kit doesn’t include Band-Aids. Our advising physician specifically advised against including bandages due to them being a choking hazard for babies and toddlers. Babies place hands and feet in their mouth as they explore the world, and bandages should not be applied to those areas. Bandages can also restrict circulation if wrapped too tightly. So what do you do if you need one? If possible, opt not to use one on minor cuts and scrapes (hold gauze until the bleeding stops). For larger cuts, seek medical attention.

What we  about it

It’s everything you might need (products and step-by-step guidance), right at your fingertips, without the last-minute trips to the drug store.

On the go kit
This review was collected as part of a promotion
This Baby First Aid & Grooming Kit from Babylist is a convenient all-in-one solution. While I haven't had the chance to use all the items yet, I appreciate having everything neatly organized in one bag, making it perfect for taking on camping trips or for travel in general. My initial impression is that the value might be a little high for the price, but I'm open to changing my mind once I've had the opportunity to use the kit more extensively and experience its full utility.

So Many Essential Baby Care Items In One Kit
This review was collected as part of a promotion
The kit is thoughtfully put together with all the essential baby items you don’t Mnecessarily realize you will need until you NEED them.
All items in this kit are full sized products, and many are name brand (rather than generic). For the amount of products you get in the kit this is a fair price considering how much you would spend if you bought everything individually. I typically don’t buy kits because there always seems to be too many products I won’t actually use and only a few that I

Cute all-in-one goodie bag!
This review was collected as part of a promotion
I brought this kit on our trip with my 5-month-old to Bear Lake, and I was honestly so glad I had it. I totally forgot nasal spray and baby had a stuffy nose after the first day! I was kicking myself until I remembered this little first aid kit came with some! It took all the work out of packing and made it so easy! I didn’t have to worry about remembering a thermometer, or nail clippers, or any of the random little things babies always end up needing because it was all already packed in this

The Ultimate Baby Kit for Peace of Mind
This review was collected as part of a promotion
This kit is an incredible value! It’s perfect as a baby shower gift or for any new parent. It truly includes everything you might need in one place. I especially loved that it includes clear red flag indicators for when to call 9-1-1 — such a smart addition. Right now, my six-month-old is obsessed with the cooling teether. It’s a full baby first-aid station in a single, grab-and-go bag.

Great to have in a pinch!
This review was collected as part of a promotion
This kit seems to have a lot of great uses. I found we had duplicates at home already, so I put it in my car to have on hand when we’re on the go or traveling. I think it’s also great for first time parents who might not have some of the contents already, so they can grab the kit and be prepared in any situation! The bag is super cute and info cards included are great too!

A must have!
This review was collected as part of a promotion
I wish I put this kit on my baby registry, it truly has the essentials for first aid and more! This kit is jammed packed with products; from an adorable smiley face ice pack, a cooling teether, nail clippers, brush, comb, nasal spray, thermometer, bandages, boogie wipes, pacifier, zinc oxide, etc. The carrying case it comes in is absolutely adorable too and easily to travel with. I also love that it comes with an Emergency Contact card and a helpful info card. My husband and I and our 5 month

Not What I’d Call a First Aid Kit, But Still Useful
This review was collected as part of a promotion
As someone with a First Responder background, the term First Aid Kit sets certain expectations—things like bandaging wounds, treating cuts or burns, or managing breathing issues. . This isn't that. It’s more of a well-stocked baby care kit than a true emergency setup.

The overall value is solid for what it is. You’re getting a lot of full-sized, quality components neatly packed in a durable case. My favorite items were the saline spray and drops—super helpful during a recent stuffy-nose

Great grooming kit, not a first aid kit
This review was collected as part of a promotion
What did you think of the overall value of this kit?
The overall value of this kit is pretty great when you view it as a grooming kit. As a first aid kit, it would be terrible value as there is really only a few bandages. I loved all the grooming pieces though. It included a lot of items that are helpful for babies and can be easily stored and put in a diaper bag. I especially loved the boogie wipes because that's something I wouldn't have bought myself but it comes in handy. It was helpful

This goes above and beyond what I was expecting
This review was collected as part of a promotion
Wow, this First Aid and Grooming Kit went way above and beyond what I was expecting. I have 6 kids, and have had my fair share of owies I've had to bandage and things happen on the go that I needed to attend to. This kit really thought of everything—aside from bandages, but that was no big deal as we own lots of bandages and I really appreciate being able to put my favorite ones in the kit. Instead, this kit came with a lot of things that I don't usually have on hand, but really benefit from

Fairly Complete
This review was collected as part of a promotion
This grooming kit excels in its primary function but falls short as a first aid kit. The grooming tools are practical and well-designed, but the first aid components: two sizes of gauze, a thermometer, saline drops, diaper rash cream, and a cold pack, lack essentials like healing ointment and bandages. As a mom of three, I’ve had to add my own bandages to make it functional. The bag is durable with a sturdy zipper, but its multiple compartments are confusing in emergencies, requiring rummaging
