Description
The ultra-slim 16.7” design occupies a single vehicle seat and fits three across.
The seat spans three modes: rear-facing (5-40 lbs), forward-facing (26.5-65 lbs) and booster (40-100 lbs) for years of use.
Twelve headrest positions maximize height, while the flex-forward buckle and low-profile sides make getting in and out easier.
The ergonomically contoured seat helps keep children comfortably supported, and removable inserts provide a perfect fit starting at 5 lbs.
The car seat features ClearTex flame-retardant-free materials and it’s GREENGUARD Gold Certified for low chemical emissions.
The lightweight design combines a steel-reinforced frame for strength with effortless installation and everyday handling.
Two installation options include Mini-Grip LATCH connectors and LockSure steel-reinforced belt lock-offs for a secure vehicle belt installation. Two RideRight bubble level-indicators and a 6-position ReclineSure leveling system help ensure proper positioning.
Two flexible cup holders conveniently fold to maintain the ultra-slim profile and are dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.
Fit3x is engineered to meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard FMVSS 213a – Side Impact and features Advanced Side Impact Protection (ASIP).

Hard to wash
It’s not awful, but I miss the zipper car seat. I have no idea why you would have such a great idea and then discontinue it. This seat is NOT easy to put back together or take apart. There is a review that says it’s not bad, well they’re wrong, it sucks. I really do like Chicco car seats, we’ve had 3, but I think I’m just butthurt they discontinued the zipper one.

Felt cheap compared to other Chicco seats
We love Chicco seats but not this one. Flimsy compared to other Chicco seats. Plastic on the latch hooks, the straps themselves are thinner. The insert parts feel flimsy, returned. We were so excited for Chicco to have come out with a slim fit seat but seems like they cut corners with the quality of this one.

So easy to use!
I absolutely love the Chicco Fit3X car seat! It was ready to use straight out of the box, making setup incredibly easy. Installation was simple and straightforward, and most importantly, it’s very comfortable for my child. A great combination of convenience, ease of use, and comfort! Mom, dad and grandma each have one!

Love this one
Our son outgrew his Chicco infant car seat (which we LOVED) and so we bought this car seat along with the Onefit LX and we much prefer this one!! If you’re comparing this one versus the one fit, I would recommend this one as it’s less bulky, feels nicer (in my opinion) and my baby just prefers the fit

Best slim car seat on the market
I’m so thankful they came out with this model right as I was looking for a new car seat. It checks almost all my boxes. Reasonably priced, slim fit, cup holders that fold away when not in use, several recline options and there’s an additional insert for the hip area for when your child is out of the infant insert but not yet big enough for the full seat. Never Feels Secure
I bought this car seat at target and unfortunately, it never seems to be secure when fitting in each of our cars. Whether I use the anchor straps or the seatbelt, it never feels secure and is very wobbly… even after it is as tight as it goes. Do not recommend!

Good but could be better
I bought this car seat specifically to be able to put our 13 month old in it for a flight and use while traveling (also my in laws will be using). I have the Chicco Fit360 as her daily car seat in my car and I much prefer that car seat to this one. While the seat is nice and compact and the materials are really nice feeling there are 2 things in particular I didn’t like as much as the Fit360 which are the chest clip and the harness buckle. Fits 2013 chevy volt!!!
I purchased this particular carseat because I drive a 2013 chevrolet volt. This is the version with only 2 backseats and a hard console (covering the battery cells) in between them. The vehicle itself is quite compact, so I was really anxious about finding & then choosing a good, quality carseat for my granddaughter because of how the backseat is designed. Our first "big boy" car seat
This car seat is super easy to install and adjust. I love the padding it provides for a cozy sleeping place and the recline options. The color is beautiful. I do wish there was a feature to hold the buckles in place while getting the child into the seat. We'e traveled with this seat a few times and pretty easy, besides the weight...not the lightest item to carry around.
