Harmony is a great option for travel or as an occasional back-up to your double electric breast pump. Small enough to fit into a handbag and with no need for batteries or wires, it’s perfect for parents who pump occasionally and need a lightweight travel companion.
Thanks to the unique combination of a 105-degree opening angle, soft rim and oval shape for a better fit, the PersonalFit Flex breast shield puts less pressure on your milk ducts, resulting in a more effective and comfortable pumping experience. This also optimizes milk flow.
The unique ergonomic handle has 2-Phase Expression technology to allow you to mimic your baby’s sucking rhythm. First use the short side at a fast pace to stimulate milk flow; after you see breast milk flowing, use the long side of the handle to extract your milk.

Can you use on both sides?

Can you use this for let-down on the non-feeding breast while breastfeeding?

zero complaints
All hand pumps get tiring after a while and can be hard if you struggle with carpal tunnel, but otherwise I have zero complaints about this pump! Great to have as a backup or if you’re just feeling up for something different in your pumping journey.

Lack of Suction
Initially I LOVED using this pump; however, I’m 4 weeks into using it and now I fight with the suction every session. It is SO frustrating! Medela obviously knows this is an issue (based on other reviews). It would be great if there was a true fix or better support provided for moms who invest in these products.

Being able to control everything in an uncontrolled environment was a dream. Being able to take it off in a flash to help my oldest and easily place it back on.

Perfect little BF work horse
Love the ease of use and cleaning it afterwards. I’m so tired of the parts of my wearable pumps and just all the cleaning I have to doc in general. This thing makes my life easier. Especially when I went to quietly, easily pump in the middle of the night. My factor NICU nurse gave me this one and I’ve loved and used it wayyy more than expected.

Let down from this pump is fantastic! Just have to make sure the valve is perfectly centred as it sometimes becomes about fidgety.

Favourite hand pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve absolutely loved using the Medela Harmony Manual Breast Pump. It’s by far the best hand pump I’ve tried and works so quickly and effectively compared to others. I originally used it during pregnancy to collect colostrum and now postpartum for expressing milk, and it’s been amazing for both. It’s comfortable to use, easy to clean and surprisingly efficient for a manual pump. I’m always impressed by how much milk it collects in such a short time. Definitely one baby item I’d highly recommend.

While electronic auto pumps offer hands-free extraction, they come with a high price tag, noisy motors, and numerous parts to wash. manual Harmony completely wins on simplicity and speed. It is completely silent, fits easily into a handbag, and requires zero charging or cords. you have total control over the suction rhythm to trigger a faster milk letdown

Better than my hospital grade pump!

It’s comfortable, easy to use, and really efficient for expressing milk quickly. Perfect for on the go or night feeds when I don’t want to set up the electric pump.

It is a great cheaper alternative though as most pumps are really expensive. I didn’t use it nearly as much as my other pumps

Collecting colostrum

I’m so grateful I got this given to me for a baby shower present. Highly recommend anyone looking at a affordable gift for a new mum. Cannot speak highly enough.
