Description
Baby footprints make wonderful keepsakes as your child grows. Pearhead’s kit is designed to be simple and easy to use without the mess of traditional ceramic or plaster kits. You just knead the no-mix clay, roll it out to the size of the included shaping ring, then press your baby’s foot or hand into the clay to make an impression. You can redo it as many times as you need to make a good print. Once you have the perfect print, you use the shaping ring to trim it and make a hole for the included grosgrain ribbon. Let the clay air dry for one to two days, and voila, you have an adorable memento.
The tradeoff for the ease? The clay is a foam-like material that doesn’t have the look or feel of ceramic up close. It stays somewhat malleable even after drying, so you need to store it perfectly flat to avoid warping. Positives: it’s lightweight and won’t break if dropped.

Not ideal
Cute idea, but the material kind of shrinks back and didn't keep its shape. My baby's hand print also started fading as the material returned to its original shape. I would recommend making sure the impression is deep or just get a different keepsake altogether.

Waste of money does not work.
Garbage. As the material dries the handprints disappear, the material warps, no impression left after 3 days. I would give this 0/10 if I could.

Can't get those tiny handprints back to redo it. :(
This kit seemed great at first and we were really excited to do it. It turned out terrible. At first it looked perfect when we did it and followed all the instructions but the material puffed up on the shelf while it was drying and the handprints were not longer as deep as they originally were, then well after the 48 hours of dry time, maybe even 96 hours later I took the print off the foil it was on and the back was still not dry. so I flipped it over to lay it flat on its front so the back…

This is was so bad. I had to really press my child's foot down and you still couldn't really see the imprint. We ended up throwing it away. Waste of money

Print Disappears
Material puffs up after making impression so the print disappears.

Print disappears.
After only one hour of letting this dry after doing my babies handprint, the clay or whatever the material is plugged back up, virtually eliminating the print. By that point it was a bit too dry to attempt it again, because we couldn't get another good print after re-rolling the dough. Would not recommend.

Wouldnt buy again
This did not actually mold from our baby's hand or footprint. The mold dissolved within 30 mins of trying to let it dry. Super bummed.

Doesn’t work at all
Followed instructions and the imprints looked cute at first but then the clay rose as it dried and completely erased the imprints.

Great gift

This makes such a good gift for a new parent or any relative of any small child. It was super easy since it already includes the air dry clay and some ribbons. It made for a perfect hand print to keep for ever!
