Overview

Description

This Philips Avent Bottle comes with a Natural Response nipple that allows baby to control the pace, just like breastfeeding. The unique opening and only releases milk when baby actively drinks, so when they pause to swallow and breathe, the milk pauses too.

The wide, soft and flexible nipple is designed to mimic the shape and feel of a breast, helping baby to latch on and feed comfortably. The no-drip design also prevents lost milk, and the anti-colic valve keeps air away from baby’s tummy during feeding to help reduce colic and discomfort.

The wide bottle neck makes filling and cleaning easy, and there’s only a few parts for simple assembly.

What we  about it

These are glass correct ?

Best Answer:  These bottles are made from polypropylene, not glass.

What is the flow on the 4 oz. Do I need to buy a different flow of nipple for my newborn or should this be fine?

Best Answer:  The 4 oz bottle comes with Flow 2 nipples. You are totally fine to start with these. You'll only need to purchase Flow 1 nipples if milk is leaking from your little one's mouth or if you observe fast gulps.

my twin babies favorite bottle!
my twin babies love the philip avent natural bottles! as preemies, i had to start with the smaller 4oz bottles. now as my babies are older & eating more, i ordered them the 9oz. its so easy to clean & very easy to assemble. the nipple is amazing for my babies! they literally control the rhythm of their feed! at first it took a few feeds to get used to, but they eventually latched on really well. just always make sure you align the notch on the ring with the vent hole on the nipple & also face

THESE BOTTLES NEED TO BE TAKEN OFF THE SHELVES
These bottles should be taken off the market and recalled!!! Tried the 4 oz bottles for my newborn and found that he worked so hard sucking and getting next to nothing to eat. He would take an hour to get 2oz down if he didn’t fall asleep during the feed first. Fast forward to my child’s 2 week appt…he not only lost his birth weight which is normal, but he dropped from 7.10 to 7.4 and hasnt gained anything back. We tried different formula, different nipple flows…nothing worked. We finally bought

Nipples are horrible and baby can’t get milk put
The old style natural nipples were great but these new natural response ones are terrible. My newborn baby sucks and sucks on a level 4 nipple and get 10ml out in 20 minutes. She loves the wide nipple but becomes so frustrated with her inability to get milk out.

Incorrect nipple size based on the description
The product description says medium nipple for 3 - 6 months. From the section of choose right nipple size for your baby, Flow 4 is for 3m+ baby. But guess what the bottle comes with a Flow 3 which is 1m+.
While the product is satisfactory, the information is very deceiving. So bare in mind that for your 3 months old baby you will have to buy separate nipples that is Flow 4.

Nipples are extremely finicky and most of the time baby won't get any milk. Philips doesn't tell you how to properly assemble the bottles. You need to align the notch on the plastic ring with the notch on the silicone nipple. You also should have the nipple notch either up or down when feeding, not sideways (Philips doesn't give any instructions). Even doing so half of the time baby won't get anything. This morning my baby fed 1oz in 15 minutes with the size 2 nipple, which is the perfect rate

Bottle top does not lock!!!
Bottle top does not lock on glass bottles and leaks. Baby has dropped milk on her clothes several times, very dissatisfied since day one of use and would not recommend. I’ve tried replacing the tops and it is the bottle itself. Waste of money.

These bottles are fantastic 😍
The flow on these bottles are perfect for breast feeding babies. I've tried other brands such as medela and my baby chokes on the flow....but these bottle are perfect. No wasted breast milk is leaked from the sides of my babies mouth. I love these bottles. I just I bought more.

We had the other big name brand bottles before these and they were a pain to clean. Very happy with these Avent bottles and love that you can turn them into sippy cups as your child grows!
