Description
The Chair made its debut in 1972 and has been going strong ever since (Stokke calls it a “chair for life” for a reason). Devotees love the iconic Scandinavian design that’s highly functional and looks great with your grown-up decor.
This versatile chair brings your baby right up to the table to join the family meal. The adjustable design has both depth-and height-adjustable seat and footplates for ergonomic seating position at any age. The footplate effectively brings the floor up to your child, allowing for greater balance, comfort and freedom of movement.
Norwegian manufacturer Stokke makes the chairs from high-quality, solid European beech or oak wood with an attention to craftsmanship. The Tripp Trapp is a sturdy piece of furniture (it holds up to 300 lbs) that would be very hard for a child to tip, even for toddlers who are climbing in and out of the chair on their own.
This chair comes with a Baby Set to provide support and stability starting around six months. When baby is learning to sit, the Tripp Trapp Baby Set gives little ones comfortable side and back support. It also provides freedom of movement and helps teach them the important skill of sitting. When they can confidently climb in and out of their chair on their own, you can remove the Baby Set. This latest version has an updated safe and intuitive harness buckle, two click-in points and a quick, one-click release button. You can completely remove the harness for easier cleaning (it’s machine wash safe) and attach it back in about 30 seconds.
Not using your Stokke Tripp Trapp chair at the table? Attach the sturdy tray (included in this bundle) to turn the seat into a standalone high chair. The tray has a large surface for playing or eating, and its plastic surface wipes clean easily.

Best ever
The Stokke Tripp Trapp is sturdy, well-made, and adjusts as your child grows — so it lasts way past the typical high chair phase. Lets them sit right at table height with the family. A bit pricey, but worth every penny. Highly recommend.

THE BEST EVER
We absolutely love it!!! The fact we can use it for our newborn and adjust it for our toddler is perfect. We live in a small home so the way it adjusts to our lives with barely any work and takes up no room is exactly what we need. And it’s beautiful!!!!

Don’t waste your money.
Honestly it is so incredibly not worth the money. It’s stiff, it doesn’t clean very well (the wood version at least), any accessory is very expensive, and it’s poorly designed compared to other high chairs. As an example, the straps get super dirty but are difficult to remove/dissassemble. For $600, you’d think they’d put more easily washable straps. The bottom of the high chair tray has a million tiny holes from a cheap mold so all the food gets stuck in it and it’s a huge pain to clean. I wish…

Loved until toddlerhood and probably beyond
Highly recommend this high chair! I just bought a another one for my second baby, because my first who is almost 3 still uses it. She uses it to eat, but also to do her worksheets at the kitchen table, and other activities on the table.

Beautiful trip trap chair
I got the stokke trip trap chair in the black oak color. My son is really enjoying it. He feels mature and is able to join us at the dinner table and is able to sit comfortably without feeling constrained. It also looks nice instead of a plastic high chair.... He had a booster highchair but did refuse that. He calls the stokke trip trap his special chair and happily sits there. I'm so happy in invested in it. It is a sturdy and safe chair. It also cleans nicely. Spots do show after dinner time but I just wipe it and it's all clean and looking new.

Better baby posture
We bought this several weeks ago and love it so much! I am a nurse and really appreciate how good our babies posture is compared to other brands we tried, she always sunk down in them. It is extremely easy to clean and wipe off after each use. I love how big the bottom platform is because food that falls is caught on it instead of your floor. If you’re thinking about this, get it!

For toddlers who hate traditional high chairs
Highly recommended.Our toddler never liked traditional high chairs but with this chair we finally convinced our toddler to sit at the table.Easy to get on and off for a toddler as well.

A Must Have for Toddlers
We purchased this a month ago, and our toddler is in love with it. So much so that we wish we had just bought it sooner instead of purchasing multiple “things” for him to sit in (high chair, booster seat, etc). It’s firm, sturdy, easy to build. I had no problems adjusting the height. Unlike our booster seat, it’s super safe and feels like it would be super difficult to tip over. We love it.

So Useful
If you are debating buying the Newborn Set - Do it!! It is so nice to be able to sit at the dining room table and eat a meal like civilized people haha. Baby sits at the table "with" us in her high chair and is happy as a clam. It's also been great for when I'm meal prepping/washing endless bottles. I like having her elevated off the ground, as opposed to on a bouncer on the floor or something when I'm walking around with my hands full. And, it keeps her off the ground so my drool-y dog leaves her alone haha. Highly recommend!
