Description
Sound machines help you (and your baby) get to sleep by producing constant “white” noise, masking sounds that fade into the background but help to quiet the mind and keep you from focusing on disruptive sounds that might wake you from sleep. For your baby, they also recall the comforting noise of the womb.
Yogasleep’s Dohm sound machine has been around since 1962 and has the official stamp of approval from the National Sleep Foundation.
This tried-and-true basic makes just one noise, the soothing sound of rushing air. The sound is generated by a fan inside the acoustic housing, not a recording (rest assured, you won’t get a waft of cold air coming out of your sound machine). You can adjust the fan speed and tone until you find the sweet spot you and your baby need for a good night’s sleep.
The Dohm is simple to operate, and its unobtrusive, compact design makes it useful at home and on the road (you will need to plug it into an outlet).
If you’re looking for a sound machine with lots of white noise options, songs, a night light, timer or other bells and whistles, this isn’t the machine for you. But if simple and reliable appeals, this one may work wonders.

Replaced twice, 2x failed, won't power on
Wife bought a Yogasleep Dohm. It stopped working a couple months later. Would no long power on. Returned for a replacement. Second (replacement) stopped working last night after less than a year. Same behavior: would no longer power on. Garbage product contributing to the eWaste problem.

The perfect white noise for sleep
I have one and take it whereever I go. The one I just got is for my daughter. She has trouble sleeping due to noise above her in our home and since she started using the Dohm , she has been able to aleep.

Love it!
I received this a little over a week ago and I love it! I had previously used one in an Airbnb I stayed at in NOLA, the host had one in every room. I immediately knew I was going to buy one for home, and I am glad I did. It helps drown out all other noise so my brain can focus on it and let it lull me to sleep. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves sleeping with a fan on or has used “stormy” white noise in the past, the sound is similar.

Works well, smells bad
I bought this to help block noise from coming into my birds room at night. The machine works well but it has given off the smell of burning electrical while running it. It concerns me that the smell hasn’t gone away. It has dissipated some but you can still smell it. It doesn’t appear to have any issues other than the smell coming from it so I’m hoping it will eventually go away completely.

Obsessed
My husband and I bought this FIVE years ago and it’s still going strong. We’ve travelled the world with it, and use it every night religiously. Couldn’t recommend more! Not looking forward to the day it finally dies lol

Awesome product
By far my favorite sound machine. I have 3 of them. One for camper, guest room and bedroom. Great quality and great sound.

Life saver for apartment
Love this for both baby and me. An important part of my baby's sleep routine. Our neighbor is awful and plays loud music with heavy bass and the loudest volume of this machine drowns it out. My husband needs a lower volume and is happy with the sliding scale of options.

Quality built unit
Well built little machine and it’s the best white noise device I have ever used. I fall asleep quickly and stay asleep longer.

Good but potentially unsafe
It was good while it lasted. We really enjoyed using it and the noise was great. Unfortunately the power button started sparking while changing settings. Seems a bit unsafe. I’ve seen a few reviews on Amazon saying the same thing. It lasted about a year and a half. Was going to purchase another for our baby’s room but now that seems unsafe.
