Remember those last weeks of pregnancy when you couldn’t wait to go into labor and well-meaning friends and family members said some version of: “Enjoy it. Once the baby comes you won’t have any time for yourself.” … And maybe they were right? Because suddenly going to a doctor’s appointment solo feels as blissful as a Caribbean vacation (well, almost).

But the thing is, once life starts to fall into a bit more of a routine, meaningful time alone is both possible and necessary.
