Hatch Baby deploys technology to help you keep tabs on your baby’s development. Grow is a diaper-changing pad with a built-in, wireless smart scale. Paired it with the Grow smart phone app, and you can seamlessly track your baby’s weight gain and exactly how much they drink in each feeding.
If your baby has difficulty breastfeeding or gaining weight in the early months, the Grow puts you in control of your vital medical information, instead of having to wait for the next visit to the pediatrician or lactation consultant. When your baby’s growth is on track, you’ll have instant peace of mind. If it’s not, you’ll know and can address any issues immediately.
Information from the Grow scale can be instantly shared with others, which makes it a great resource for caregivers to connect with parents when they are away from the home.
In addition to automatically measuring weight and feedings, you can use Grow to track your baby’s diaper changes, sleep and length, though this information needs to be manually entered. The app can also give you stats about how your baby’s growth percentiles compare to worldwide (WHO) data and other Grow babies.
On the outside, the Grow has a sleek, minimalist look. The soft foam is comfortable for your baby and wipes clean easily.

Too fragile!! Handle this product with more care than you would a baby.
2 stars only because I liked it when I was able to use it. It was nice to have a way to measure feedings in the first few months. Points for being easy to wipe. Dislike that it uses up so much battery. I had to change out the batteries several times because it’s using up battery even when running idle. Worth it!
Worth it for breastfed babies! Provides peace of mind and great insight to your baby’s intake. I noticed a change in my daughter’s breastfeeding and the scale confirmed she wasn’t gaining weight in a few days. We were able to make adjustments to our feeding. Definitely worth it if you are comparing wipeable changing pads. I would consider this a must have item for our experience so far.

They haven’t updated the infuriating app in 3 years. They’ve abandoned their product. Almost impossible to use with a hungry squirming baby.

So happy I had this because my little guy reached past the 12 pound mark previous to his eight week appointment! There would have been no other way I’d have known and we had to change so many things for the new weight; his car seat infant insert needed taken out at 11 pounds, the snoo snack size up to medium at 12 pounds, and the owlet sock size up at 12 pounds! Well worth it!
When comparing different changing pads we knew we wanted something very wipeable for easy clean up. The price of the Hatch Grow was extremely comparable and included the scale and access to the app, something no other company is doing. We can regularly check our daughters weight between doctors appointments and see where she stands among other babies in her age range as well as save her weigh ins to track her progress

Doesn’t work for weighted feeds

My lactation coach advised getting one after my baby didn’t gain back his birthweight at his 3 week check up. This scale is hardly ever correct. Yes, I have a wiggly baby But at one weigh in it measured that I fed the baby 140+ ounces … Obviously not correct. Other times I will weigh him (select weighted feed), I’ll feed him, and then it claims he actually lost weight. It is also a super hard surface that he absolutely hates. I…

Good but not great scale
I bought this for weighted feeds and weigh-ins after my baby didn't gain weight appropriately after the 2nd week check-up. Mostly it's been great. There have been a handful of times where I chose the weighed feed option, fed my baby, then it didn't remember that I had selected it (rendering the weighed feed null). Happy with purchase, no issues!
We are very happy with this product! I was nervous with reviews, but I’m glad we purchased. We use for both a changing pad and a scale. No issues with either uses. The weighted feeds seemed accurate and were helpful.
Great quality, no smell whatsoever, and does not leave stains. It’s easy to wipe clean after use.
4 stars because we had trouble connecting the app initially, but no issues after 10 months of use.

Doesn’t work for weighted feeds
I’ve had a lot of trouble getting accurate reads and accuracy matters when you’re trying to do weighted feeds. I worked with customer service and it wasn’t helpful. It’s also very hard for your little one. Keekaroo is likely better because it’s much softer but still easy to wipe down. Not worth it if you’re hoping to use for weighted feeds.
