Overview

Description

The Stay Clean Humidifier does just that, thanks to Vital Vio’s antimicrobial LED technology that kills 99.9% of bacteria and prevents mold growth.

Vital Vio is a health technology company delivering a new class of antimicrobial light that reduces the impact of microbes. Unlike harmful chemicals or ultraviolet light, Vital Vio’s finely tuned, patented light continuously kills microbes and inhibits their growth. If the humidifier is plugged in and the lights are on, it’s working.

There’s a glow that’s emitted between the base and humidifier tank, which can act like a night light (although it doesn’t turn off). The Humidifier requires filling less often, too—it can hold an entire gallon for 24 hours of run time.

Why use a humidifier? It can help keep little throats and nasal passages hydrated, temporarily relieving cough, congestion, itchy skin and chapped lips.

What we  about it

I only use a humidifier during the dry winter months, so my beautiful-looking Stay Clean is still in its box, waiting to be in use about December.
This survey required me to give stars; hard to do since I haven't yet used it, but I'll give it 5 on the expectation it will work perfectly.

Works for me
This has helped me a lot, as for the mold. You cannot rely on anything to self clean I was mine out regularly. So don't just keep filling it with water and expect it to stay clean. I clean it out after every tank of water

Too bright for nighttime use
This is unusable for us in the nursery. The LED light that keeps it clean gives off a bright blue glow that neither my toddler nor my infant can sleep with. I run it during the day and have to remove it from their rooms at night, because the LED light stays on even when it is off to keep the basin clean.

Fire Hazard - Defective Unit
One of the lights burnt out. Not sure why, our unit is only a few months old. We immediately stopped use to prevent it from becoming a fire hazard due to unknown electrical issues and apparent burning (see photo comparing the burnt light to an unburnt light)

Great Amount of Mist
We've had an extremely dry winter & this humidifier has been such a great help in keeping my toddler comfortable when sleeping. We love that there aren't any filters to change & the LED lights doubling as a night light is a great feature.

No more filters!
I can't tell you how excited I was to use a humidifier with no filters and be self cleaning!! We were always so hesitant to use them in our home because we had a bad experience with one getting super yucky with my first born. I am so thrilled to go into the cold weather season without the worry of making any sicknesses worse!

The best humidifier I've ever had
Living in New England the winters are harsh and by Jan 1 my whole house is dry, full of sniffles, and dying for a more pleasant sleep environment. This auto cleaning humidifier is AWESOME! It removes a step of the maintenance to keep my house clean

Easy as Pie!
Loving this so much! Living in the desert I need a humidifier going at all times to keep us from turning into raisins, but do I have time to routinely clean one? No. No I do not. The fact that this has no filters that need changing, and kills germs is a life saver!
