Overview
Description
This non-slip mat keeps baby from sliding in the tub, whether sitting or standing (yes, they are going to do that). The whale-shaped pad attaches with suction cups, and it’s cushioned for added comfort. Another asset: it coordinates with Skip Hop’s cute line of Moby bath accessories. Like any tub mat, this one needs to be rinsed/washed and air dried after every use to prevent mold and mildew growth.
Some reviewers have trouble getting the mat to stick to the tub properly. Remember that suction cups are finicky as a category and will not stick to every surface. They work best on completely smooth, polished surfaces and won’t work well on textured finishes. This particular mat may stick better when wet.

Actually useless!!
I agree with those who are saying this bath mat is completely useless. My husband and I both have tried absolutely everything to try and get this mat to adhere to our SMOOTH and CLEAN bathtub to no avail. So angry that this was a complete waste of money.

Awful - Do Not Buy
Purchased one 4 years ago but figured it might be time for a new one. Too bad previous one was tossed as the newer ones are actual useless. Mat doesn’t suction smooth or textured surfaces as previous still did after years of use. It won’t stay in place even when attempting to store. Please save your money and purchase a different product. Incredibly disappointed with this Skip Hop item.

Great, simple design

We got this bath mat for our 3 year old to help keep her steady when getting in and out of the tub. It works great and I love how simple it is. I also love that we can hang it on the shower head to dry/when not in use.

Great but hard to clean
Safe, sticks great, looks cute, has cushion, works as expected. The only con is it’s so annoying to clean with all the extra suction cups on the bottom. Be sure to pull up after each use and wipe dry to prevent mildew.

The bottom where there baby sits isn’t as grippy as I thought it would be. We will see how it goes over time. It does the job but still a little sketchy.

My little one out grew his infant tub and we got this to put him in our tub. Have only used it four times but haven’t had any issue with it sticking to the tub or mildew as others wrote. It’s cute, a nice amount of padding, and a nice non slip texture

Cute, but mildews badly

After having different bath mats for my kiddos I decided to try this one doing my research. I thought this seemed the best among others. However pretty quickly, even tho we let it air dry in between uses, I noticed mildew/mold spots underneath. I don’t use it for under my big kids, in part because the grooves are not comfortable for them to sit on, only u see the baby’s bathtub to create a grip. I am disappointed this product and wish it could be exchanged or returned. Although it’s very cute. We have had the whale faucet cover for YEARS and love it tho
