What’s on Kellie Gerardi’s Baby Registry?
The mom of one is getting ready for Space Baby with time-saving gear, smart upgrades and a few celestial touches.

If anyone knows how to prepare for launch, it’s Kellie Gerardi. And right now, the research astronaut, mom and women’s advocate is gearing up for her next big mission: welcoming baby #2.
Kellie stopped by the Babylist Showroom with her mom, Marion, and her daughter, Delta, to build a registry for her second baby girl. After nearly a decade of hoping to grow their family and difficulties due to secondary infertility and an IVF journey, she’s now in her third trimester—fully in that sweet spot of pregnancy where some of the pre-baby nerves calm down and the nesting energy kicks in.
“It’s been difficult for me to sort of relax in this pregnancy,” Gerardi admits. “But now past seven months, I’m feeling ready to really get excited about the fact that we are really going to have a little sister in the house.”

In the nearly 10 years since she was pregnant with Delta, she says baby gear has had a serious glow-up. From smarter tech to more parent-focused design, Gerardi is all about upgrades that’ll make new mom life easier this time around. Take feeding: with Delta, Kellie had a tough start breastfeeding and ended up exclusively pumping.
“By week three I think is when we called it,” she says. But there was a silver lining: “It was nice actually because everyone in my family was able to help with feedings and get that special bonding time.”
For her new baby girl, she’s adding the Willow Go wearable breast pump to her registry—a cordless, hands-free option that lets her move freely while pumping.
“The hands-free in particular is just such an important innovation,” she says. Without having to be tethered to a wall or hold milk collection cups, she’ll have the chance to tackle her to-do list and stick to a pumping schedule. Mobility is a recurring theme in her must-haves—not just when it comes to pumping, but babywearing, too.
“I found that it was very complex and it didn’t have that structure in it that was so supportive and obvious,” she says.
But at the showroom, she tried the Monarch carrier from MABĒ and immediately noticed how much better it felt.
“This is a very different experience,” she says. “Being on the go so much, this is going to be game changing. I could absolutely see myself wearing this every day.”
When it comes to her overall registry vibe, she’s leaning into cosmic flair; embracing her astronaut aesthetic, she’s drawn to anything that reminds her of outer space.
“Anything with a star, a moon, a celestial theme—it just brings me joy,” she says.
To help other expecting families figure out their own registry vibe, Gerardi’s sharing the standout picks from her own Babylist registry and items she tested in person at the showroom. Think: supportive carriers, easy-fold strollers and a few starry details sprinkled in.
