Owlet Cam Brings Video Monitoring to Owlet Smart Sock

Any parent who’s ever crept into the nursery to check on their baby understands the value of a baby monitor. No one wants to wake up a sleeping baby!

What is the Owlet Cam?

The Owlet Cam is a standalone video and audio baby monitor that connects seamlessly with the Owlet Sock, making it a complete baby monitor system. While the Owlet Sock only lasts through 18 months (baby’s foot outgrows it and they get too wiggly for it work properly), the Owlet Cam can be used much longer—you can leave it set up in their playroom to keep an eye on them as they grow. A smart bundle!

On its own, the Cam features:

  • 1080p HD video that streams directly to the Owlet app, which means you can view baby at work, on a trip or just from the kitchen
  • Background audio so you can listen to your baby while you use your phone for other things
  • Two-way audio so you can talk to or soothe your little one from afar
  • Room temperature sensor so you know if baby’s room is too cold or hot
  • Encrypted WiFi for a secure connection
  • A 130-degree wide angle lens for better viewing of baby
  • An easy-to-install wall mounting with cord cover

Keep in Mind

A smartphone—in order to use the Owlet app for video monitoring—with iOS 8 or higher or Android 5.0 or higher and a Wifi connection are necessary.

The Owlet Cam has a lot of great features, though it doesn’t the option to play sounds and music, a separate handheld monitor (which some parents like) and the ability to adjust the cam remotely.
