10 Questions
Can this be used with nanit cameras?

Best Answer:  The Owlet Dream Sock and a Nanit camera can be used together. The Dream Sock operates through the Owlet Dream App and its own base station, while the Nanit camera uses the Nanit app, so they function independently and do not require compatibility with each other.

Just keep in mind that they are separate systems—you'll use the Owlet app for the Dream Sock's pulse rate, oxygen, and sleep data, and the Nanit app for video monitoring (and any Nanit-specific features). There is no direct integration or shared app between the two brands.

Why is this suggested to wait a month before using?

Best Answer:  It's designed for babies over one month to ensure a secure fit for accurate tracking of sleep patterns and heart rate.

Can I use the camera without the sock when baby is older?

Best Answer:  This product only contains the Dream Sock. You will need to purchase the camera separately to use, but you can definitely use the camera without the sock when baby is older.

Is this the 3rd or 2nd gen sock ? ?

Best Answer:  This is the only version of the Dream Sock in the market.

What generation is this model?

Best Answer:  This model is the newest generation of the Owlet Dream Sock.

Is this the new FDA approved Dream sock?

Best Answer:  This is the only version of the Dream sock in the market and this is FDA-cleared.

Do I need to pay for a subscription to use the sock?

Best Answer:  The app is completely free to use and there are no monthly or subscription fees.

Would I need to buy two systems for twins?

Best Answer:  You would need to buy two systems for twins since each sock is tied to the base it came with.

does the sock alarm when oxygen & heart rate drops?

Best Answer:  The Dream Sock doesn't specifically send notifications for changes in oxygen levels or heart rate. However, it may offer a 'sleep assist' notification if your little one appears uncomfortable or could benefit from assistance to sleep more soundly. This alert is based on various inputs, which may include factors like oxygen levels and heart rate among others.

Does this one track oxygen levels?

Best Answer:  It does! If you want to keep track of oxygen levels on your app, you would have to manually add the oxygen tracking widget to your app's homepage by logging into the website first.

Saved our lives- while being stinky
Our son was born with some complications and had a stay in the NICU for pneumonia and oxygen monitoring. The owlet sock was the only way we were able to find peace of mind at night. He’s worn it every night for six months now and I don’t know how people sleep without it when they have an infant. One downside is that the puck gets extremely smelly and it’s really hard to clean it and to get the smell out. It has caused contact dermatitis but with a few days of cleaning it’s somewhat ok. Overall still worth it. I really hope they come out with a model that makes every part washable.

A sleep-deprivation machine. Not worth it!
We bought the Owlet thinking it would give us peace of mind, but it has been more annoying than helpful. The base station is only 3 meters away from where our baby sleeps, yet we get at least three disconnect alarms every single night. The worst part is that the baby is laying completely still in the exact same spot; it just randomly decides to drop the connection for no reason at all.

The disconnect alarm is incredibly loud and wakes up the entire house. Nighttime nappy changes are an

Detected SVT in newborn
I bought this for my first grandson. The alarm sounded in the middle of the night when he was only a few days old. It was SVT (supraventricular tachycardia) . The baby was asymptomatic, which is common.

My son is an EMT/Firefighter, so he did a manual reading and confirmed it was SVT (heart rate 300ish). Without the owlet, the asymptomatic SVT might have gone unnoticed. Very happy with this purchase, so are mom & dad.

Big miss on a few key features.
Good in theory but WAY too finicky. The base station has a range of abut 15 feet, so if you take your baby into a room or two over from your base station, it freaks out and sets off alarms. Also it always says “can not get accurate reading” even when I am 100% sure it’s placed correctly. It’s almost like the product was 70% right and they didn’t work the last few kinks out of it. It’s annoying enough that I genuinely don’t want to use the product.

More headache than what it cost
Worst product I’ve used on baby so far, never works! That’s after you can manage to set it up.

I will not recommend this ever.
Absolute garbage. After 2 weeks of use, its constantly continues to disconnect and do false alarms with it placed correctly on her foot. Now the base station isn't even connecting to wifi anymore. For $300 its really sad. Customer service has lifted barely a finger to do anything then says they will do nothing because I bought it from Amazon. What a joke.

Waste of money!
I bought this a month ago and it’s honestly so irritating all it does is go off constantly saying difficulty reading or connection issue when it’s literally in the same room as the sock and the sock is on perfectly fine. I spend most of my time trying to get it to stop beeping more than it’s actual use and it was just a waste of money.

Reliable and eases anxiety!
I bought this 3 days postpartum with my son and used it until he turned 18 months. The first time he got sick, he spiked a fever at night and I was about to go to bed and checked the app and saw his heart rate was higher than normal and I went to check him and he had a fever, but I would have had no idea if it weren’t for the owlet sock. Now we are pregnant with our second and plan on using it as soon as we get home from the hospital!

Faulty Camera
The camera, despite multiple troubleshooting attempts with Owlet Support, no longer detects our baby crying. It also disconnects from our wifi often, even though our wifi is working elsewhere in the home. We have had to factory reset the camera to get it to work in the middle of many of our baby's naps, which is not ideal, as we are trying not to wake a sleeping baby. Please correct this, Owlet. Your customer support has not been able to help us.

Sock is great, everything else sucks.
The sock is great. Wonderful. But the camera? Absolutely awful. I can never get it to load. It will spin for an hour. I can’t ever actually check the camera. I ended up buying a different camera to use. Just buy the sock seperately and buy a different camera.
