Description
The Doona X is a car seat and stroller that converts in seconds—no adapters, no separate frame needed. The newest generation adds three recline positions (Sit, Relax and Lean Back) so baby can lie nearly flat on longer outings.
The integrated, no-rethread harness and adjustable headrest move together as baby grows, and an adjustable handlebar with two height settings doubles as an anti-rebound bar. Shock absorbers, front-wheel suspension, zipper-removable textiles, all-wheel quick release and a storage basket that doubles as a backpack (sold separately) are also new to this model.

I have the original and purchased in February. When the X came out I knew I needed to have this one. Unfortunately the X did not meet my expectations! The shell of the car seat was so flimsy compared to the original. I couldn’t believe that I could push the sides in and it came very close to my baby’s head. I tried with the original and it held strong. My family was just in a collision and the car was totaled but the original Doona protected my baby. It held strong! We did not feel safe using the new Doona X as a car seat so we returned it.

Overall love the upgrade! The features of the x are great and my daughter is much happier and comfortable in the seat than the original version. My only complaint is using it without the base is not easy, intuitive or super secure even when done correctly. I love the new base but since you can’t purchase a second one on its own the baseless difficulties are quite frustrating especially when traveling.
