Description
Rue features removable three-piece inserts with comfy head support, body support and an infant wedge, along with breathable knit fabrics. The UPF 50+ canopy protects skin and adds extra privacy.
For grown-ups, the ergonomic handle has an adjustable positioning to make toting more comfortable. When there’s a mess, the removable cover is easy to take off for machine washing.
The compatible base includes built-in lower anchor attachments that lock firmly to your vehicle’s points, so installation is both quick and secure.
To create a travel system, Rue connects to most Joie strollers with adapters (or directly to the arm bar on Nutmeg) so you can switch between driving and walking without disturbing baby.
Rue has an anti-rebound bar built into the base to reduce movement in the event of a crash. Rue is also tested to the newest safety standards (FMVSS 213a and 213b) with side impact protection.

We’ve used this car seat for 4 months and the fabric is already pilling. I also hate the canopy; it’s practically useless and doesn’t extend far enough to actually be useful. Overall, I would not recommend.

Do not recommend
I really wanted to love this car seat, but our baby girl is 6 weeks old and we just purchased a different car seat brand. From the first time our daughter was in this car seat, her chin was down on her chest and she couldn’t move her head well. She would also have constant bubbles/saliva and seemed very uncomfortable. We ended up having a car seat technician come and they agreed that they don’t think this car seat is a good fit for our daughter. Our daughter is on the smaller side.

This stroller system looks absolutely beautiful and chic. It definitely looks higher end and the quality is amazing. I like that it’s not big and bulky like other strollers we’ve tried in the past. I will preface by saying these Rosemary LX and Rue are the first products I have tried by Joie. That being said, I’m very impressed by the quality for the price point especially up against competitors. The Rosemary LX rides so smooth and I love how each kid gets a cup holder and the front bar. We love this stroller set!!! We have used it for our baby and when we have family and friends’ kids visiting. It’s so easy to put them both in side by side. The quality is excellent as well. This will last us many years to come!!!

Don't Buy!!
I am very unsatisfied with this car seat. I truly wanted to love it, but after only five months of use, it is already showing significant wear and looks far worse than expected.
I reached out to Joie regarding this issue and was told it is considered normal wear and tear, which I strongly disagree with. They did offer to send a replacement padding insert; however, that piece is not necessary for my baby and does not address the actual concern.
