Description
Base AR pairs with any Joie infant car seat, including the baseless mint latch.
Your Joie infant car seat comes with a base (except for the mint latch), but this serves as a second base for two-car families. Leave one base in each car and just move the lightweight carrier between the two.
The anti-rebound bar built into the base keeps the car seat firmly in place and limits the amount of movement the seat experiences during a crash.
Lower anchor attachments lock firmly onto your vehicle’s lower anchor points.
You don’t have to worry about locking your seat belt tight enough during installation with the LockTight belt-tensioner and lock-off. Use the LockTight with lower anchor attachments or your vehicle seat belt to make installation more effortless and secure.
Base AR has four recline positions to help you get the just-right fit in your vehicle. Pick a recline option that properly positions the base in your vehicle, and use the bubble-level indicator to make sure it your base is at the right angle for baby.

This base is AWESOME. I really wanted the mint latch car seat but was nervous using it on my everyday. This base now gives me the chance to have the base in my truck but still the flexibility of putting the seat in my husbands car without having to move the base or buy a whole new one

Lightweight Base with a Smooth Install Process

The base AR is lightweight yet feels sturdy. I read through the instruction manual before my first installation attempt, but the base still had movement. After watching the installation videos (the visuals were very clear and helpful!) the second attempt was much smoother. As a first-time parent who has not installed a car seat base in years, I found this one noticeably easier to work with than I remembered from past experiences.

The base is easy to use. It feels very secure in the car. I watched one video on how to install it and I was able to do it and show family how to use it. It was easy to move from car to car. I gave it to a few family members who were helping us out and they do not have small children and they were able to figure out how to install it. Overall I am very satisfied with the security and stability offered from the base and the ease of use.

I was really impressed with the car seat base. It felt extremely stable once installed, which gave me a lot of confidence when placing my baby in the car. The base made getting my baby in and out of the car so much easier and smoother compared to the latch system, especially during busy days. The base provides excellent stability and ease of use, making it a great addition to our car setup.

Fits a Tesla

I received this base about a month ago and I love it! It fits perfectly in my Tesla with two other car seats. It’s much slimmer than the previous one base that I was using and it easily releases the car seat when trying to remove my baby from the car.

Easy to use

This product was provided to me through Stellers Product Testing Panel! While I have enjoyed using the mint latch without the base, it has been nice to have the option of the base as well. You can choose between using the latch system or the seat belt and it really secures either one really well with the lock off bar. I just had difficulty getting the latches out of their storage area. Easy and intuitive installation!

Would highly recommend this infant car seat base, it took me less than 5 minutes to unbox and install. I love that there are multiple installation option depending on the car, and it’s a sturdy hold. The base itself is pretty compact so we were able to fit it with our toddler car seat as well.

User-Friendly Base Option

This base is very easy to use and install. I will say that I think part of the benefit of the Mint Latch is the fact that it doesn’t need a base and therefore can be moved easily from car to car or allows you to leave a seat free. But if you have another Joie car seat that you want to interchange then this is a great base for it.
