Description
The Dreambaby Boston Auto-Close Metal Baby Gate quickly and easily installs in doorways, hallways or stairways measuring 29.5”-38”W. Using optional extensions (sold separately) it can accommodate openings up to 54.5.”
The Boston Gate is pressure-mounted for fuss-free installation. With its one-handed operation, the gate door swings open in both directions. You can also adjust it to swing in just one direction—important for when placing at the top of stairs (also use the included hardware mounting kit for stairs).
The Magnetic Auto-Close feature automatically closes and locks the gate behind you from any distance, every time. If you need it to stay open for a short period of time, use the Smart Stay-Open feature to move around your home freely.
Once the gate is installed, the EZY Check Indicator lets you know your gate is locked, installed and functioning properly.

How wide are the openings between the bars? I have a small dog that could slip through these sometimes.
Best Answer: The openings between the bars are 2.25" apart.

Excellent for a short time
We have loved these gates but not even 6 months into using them one has already irreparably broken. Very disappointed!

Easy for baby to open
We installed this gate when our baby started crawling and the minute he started standing (10months) had to replace with something more sturdy as he could open then gate.

Easy to use
I bought this for our newly crawling baby. It was fairly easy to install and the latch is easy to open and close for adults. This cannot be used at the top of steps.

Perfect size
It was difficult to find a gate that fit our narrow stairway in our old home but this one fits perfectly. My only complaint is that it takes some effort to get the latch to lock

Doesn’t last very long- not safe
This thing is junk! Broke after the first year but we were able to make it work. Now the metal magnetic piston gets stuck all the time. We have to literally bang on it to make sure it engages. Our daughter has gotten it open because we thought it latched and has almost fell down the stairs. I’m shocked after reading all positive reviews. Waste of money and research!

Great gates
Fairly easy to assemble and good quality. Has lots of add-on parts for purchase for extended widths. Would recommend.

Awesome Gate
I have 2 of these gates. They are easy to install, and sturdy enough for a baby that wants to shake it to try and get out. The magnetic auto close is bonus. I highly recommend this gate. I will be purchasing another one.

For spiral staircase
Neither the bannister adaptors or the flat wall attachments are working on the 8 inch round centerpost of spiral staircase…… disappointed….. hoping You will respond to solve this

I got this gate from my baby registry and it is so pretty! We need to buy extensions for it to fit our space but I am excited to get it up.
