Description
SNOO is a responsive bassinet that boosts baby’s sleep by combining gentle rocking with soothing white noise and snug, safe swaddling. Created by Dr. Harvey Karp (The 5 S’s, Happiest Baby on the Block), SNOO helps babies by imitating the calming sensations of the womb. SNOO can add one to two hours of sleep per night, and often calms fussing in under a minute by automatically responding to Baby with gradual motion and sound that mimics their favorite place—the womb.
SNOO was granted FDA De Novo Authorized by the FDA and is now classified as a medical device (De Novo means the product is a new, unique class of devices). SNOO is the first and only FDA De Novo Authorized Infant Sleep System (along with SNOO Sack, their swaddle that clips into SNOO) to keep sleeping babies positioned safely on the back. Babies who are placed on the back for sleep are at a lower risk of SIDS/SUID.
The Happiest Baby App allows for convenient controls, a daily sleep report and tips from Dr. Karp. The SNOO Sleep Log gives an instant sharable report of Baby’s sleep. A FREE 9-month Premium Subscription is included with all SNOO purchases!

Best Answer: The age limit is 6 months old. You want to stop using this bassinet once baby can roll over consistently. This means that they've demonstrated—on multiple occasions—the ability to roll from stomach to back

Best Answer: The Snoo can be used until a baby is 6 months old, until they can get up on their hands and knees, or until they hit the Snoo's 25-pound weight limit—whatever comes first.

Best Answer: While it's ultimately up to your little one to decide what works best for them, many parents with colicky babies have found that the Snoo helps calm their little ones. The Snoo can also be effective for babies with reflux.

Unethical Business Practices and Scams
The company decided to start charging $20/month to use their app that was previously free. So if you bought the snoo a year ago and plan to use it for another kid, now there’s a fee that wasn’t there before. This has also plummeted the resell value, so if you bought it thinking you’d re-coup the cost with reselling it, you can’t anymore. Customer service is terrible and the company refuses to respond to complaints.

SNOO malfunctions, implying safety issues - advise against purchasing
I’m deeply disappointed with the SNOO Smart Sleeper Bassinet, which frequently shuts off unexpectedly during use, disrupting my infant’s sleep and posing potential safety concerns. Within minutes of starting (1–40 minutes), the SNOO stops rocking, enters standby mode, and sometimes shows a false "clips not engaged" message despite secure clips. This happens near-nightly, with some users reporting 12 shutoffs in 17 nights. Restarting helps temporarily, but the issue recurs, causing sleep…

My #1 baby product
If there was ever a house fire, the snoo is the first item I would grab (after family members, obvi). My baby has been sleeping in 10-12 hours stretches since she was 9 weeks old. We bought it used, we are the 3rd owners and it still works great. I'm saving it so everyone I love can borrow it!

Consumer malpractice
The snoo itself is pretty good, but it's features are all controlled through the app other than the start stop button. Happiest Baby just paywalled most of the features, including safety features, for a subscription of $20 per month. The app itself has gotten worse over time. Avoid the Snoo because you can't trust the company that makes it.

Can be a little harsh on the little ones
It it definitely helped him fall asleep when he was being fussy. BUT he would spit up much more in the snow versus a regular bassinet.

This bassinet is amazing ! Our baby loved it :) If your not sure and don’t want to spend that much money buying it they do have a rent option.

Price Gouging
While I originally was a fan of the SNOO, the company is now charging an additional $20/month for the app if you want to be able to use the SNOO to its full capacity. Some of the features in the paid subscription are what I (and clearly many others) believe should be a standard feature. This company already increased the cost of the SNOO by $495 since I purchased and seems to just be price gouging consumers left and right. Buyer beware.

Poorly built and unreliable
Lots of others have covered the sleeping and safety benefits and drawbacks of the Snoo. So I’ll take a moment to talk about the reliability and build quality of this product.
We are on to our 6th Snoo for our two kids. (All rentals.)

Rest Assured
We rented because we didn’t know if our baby would take to the Snoo. He did, and we loved it. Turns out he is a good sleeper anywhere, but I think WE slept better with him in the Snoo, knowing he was secure/strapped down. The sleep data was also super helpful for tracking trends. I would say this was worth the price of the rental, even though it’s expensive. I wouldn’t buy it outright unless I planned to use it for more than one kid.

DO NOT RENT THE SNOO!!!! - Horrible!
Giving this product 1 heart! My recommendation is to try a regular bassinet to then determine if your baby may have a chance of better sleep with the snoo. My baby slept just fine without it.
