Description

Designed with a solid wood frame and baby-safe finish, the lightweight Newton Baby Bassinet is ultra-breathable and washable.

Utilizing the same patented Wovenaire technology as their crib mattress, it features a large sleep surface to allow for extended use as your baby grows. The custom bassinet mattress is completely washable from cover to core–just hand rinse in the shower or tub.

The infant-access opening is designed for use in the bedside-sleeper setting to quickly access and soothe your baby. Eight adjustable heights allow for ease of use and safety.

Patented Wovenaire technology is at the core of the breathe-thru mattress, reducing the risk of suffocation and overheating. Breathable mesh walls also provide airflow and visibility.

I bought this bassinet back in 2023. My daughter didn’t really use it much but it worked great when we need to lay her down for a bit. However, we are now using it with our 2nd baby who uses it frequently and noticed its uneven like all the other reviews mentioned. His face would be pushed against the side with the zipper. At first, I thought it was just me thinking it was uneven but after reading all these comments, I am disappointed that this has not been fixed. We are now going to just move him into a crib instead

Don’t recommend at all
When we initially got the bassinet, I was so excited. For the first few months it was great, although had to make sure baby didn’t roll when swaddled as the mattress is pretty stiff. Which was fine with me. However, to my disappointment it did not hold up for more than a few months. The wooden leg broke when we put our 17lb baby in it. Because it was on a slight incline between the two sides, customer service said that it was not tested in that manner thus they won’t help in anyway. Very poor

Just get ready to stub your toes and trip.
For some reason, the base/legs on one side stick out about 2 inches further than the top of the bassinet. You’ll kick it and trip over it constantly. I’ve had 8+ people do the same thing in the week that I’ve had the bassinet assembled. I know I am sleep deprived and less coordinated than usual, but come on. It’s not just me. Visually, you look at the top of the bassinet and think the base would be the same width. But nope, you’ve got these little legs that stick out, reaching out into the

Good bassinet, Why no replacement straps?
I like how safe the Newton felt. As a first time mom, I had a lot of anxiety on leaving the hospital and sleeping at home with our baby--I obsessively checked on her to make sure she was safe and breathing for the first weeks, before I could start to feel less nervous, and the Newton promise of full breathability gave me a degree of peace of mind!
I don't have the issue with the uneven mattress that some reviewers complained about. It seems to me that the mattress would only be uneven if the

Great bassinet - cover could be better
Got this as a gift and our baby loves it but sadly the mattress cover isn’t the best quality. It’s very difficult to put on and it’s ripping on the edges to the point where we have tried to sew it. We follow all washing instructions and only air dry so unsure why this is happening

Happy sleeping
We got this bassinet as first time parents and have been nothing but happy with it. Assembly was easy and the bassinet is sturdy yet lightweight. I’ve had no issues with it being unlevel as some mention. I love going to sleep knowing this product is safe and breathable.

Happy with purchase
Pleased overall with this bassinet. Our baby slept in it every night for almost 6 months and it worked well. She is a side sleeper so almost immediately started mushing her face against the walls. It was so reassuring to have complete mesh on all sides as numerous times we actually found her breathing through the mesh!!
Minus one star because We did noticed the product has a slight tilt and was somehow uneven. However it was so slight it did not seem to impact the positioning of our baby. She

NOT SAFE! TERRIFYING!!!!!!!!! I am a mom of 4 so I'm not new to parenting. This is the worst baby product I've experienced in all my years of being a mom. If I hadn't of been extremely attentive, this could have k*lled my newborn. Like all the other reviews, it's uneven and your newborn will slide to the unbreathable side and potentially suffocate. My newborn baby's face got smushed into the non-breathable side and it was the scariest experience in all of my motherhood years. If I hadn't of

Tilts to one side - not safe
Bassinet tilts to one side - just like everyone else said, it’s true. Spend your money on something else.

NOT LEVEL, UNSAFE-Your baby will roll to one side
This bassinet is NOT SAFE and NOT LEVEL. We used this bassinet on our first night home from the hospital and had a horrifying experience when we found our baby crying, rolled to one side with her face pressed against the mesh.
The Newton bassinet was not level despite our floor being level (which we double-checked). We tried placing the bassinet in different rooms, but it remained unlevel in every location.
We will never use this product again and have completely lost our trust in Newton products.
