Overview

Description

The parent-favorite BassiNest has been reimagined as a 2-in-1 system that easily converts from a bedside sleeper to a portable nest for around the house. This keeps you close to your little one during the day and nighttime, too.

It features all of HALO’s signature features: a swivel for the closest sleep, easy lowering wall and mesh walls for breathability and visibility. The BassiNest 3.0 also has a sleek silhouette with an updated base that’s over 30% lighter, but just as sturdy as the original.

The BassiNest comes with a polyester sheet and waterproof mattress (additional cotton sheets sold separately). It’s compatible with all BassiNest accessories, including the Newborn Insert. The sleep space becomes extra breathable when paired with the HALO DreamWeave pad for additional comfort and peace of mind (sold separately).

Warm Grey is a Babylist exclusive color, so you’ll only find it here.

Does this allow you to rock the baby?

Best Answer:  The HALO BassiNest Swivel Sleeper 3.0 does not have a manual rocking feature. Instead, it offers a 360-degree swivel, allowing you to position your baby close to your bed for easy access during the night. Additionally, the BassiNest Soothing Swivel Sleeper 3.0 model includes built-in soothing features such as gentle vibrations and calming sounds to help your baby fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.

Does this model have a 360 degree swivel? Or was the full mobility an upgrade applied to just the newer models?

Best Answer:  Yes, the Halo BassiNest Swivel Sleeper 3.0 swivels a full 360 degrees. This feature allows you to easily move the bassinet closer or further away.

What is width including base, is it 32" from edge of leg to edge of leg?

Best Answer:  The width including the base is 33.25".

Is this bassinet easy to travel with? Does the base pack up easily?

Best Answer:  The bassinet can't be folded up and is pretty hefty. So it may not be an appropriate travel bassinet if you need to pack it for a flight.

Can you keep the side in the lowered position without holding it down?

Best Answer:  You can lock the wall in the upright position, but you can't lock it in the lowered position.

Does it have wheels?

Best Answer:  This sleeper does not have wheels.

Is the 36” minimum height from floor to the top of the bassinet or floor to bottom of the bassinet?

Best Answer:  The 36" minimum height measurement is from the floor to the top of the bassinet.

What is the lowest height setting?

Best Answer:  The lowest height setting is 36”.

Is the mattress that comes with the bassinet non-toxic?

Best Answer:  This bassinet, including the mattress, is independently tested to meet and/or exceed all U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission safety standards. It is also JPMA certified.

Does it have any music or vibrations?

Best Answer:  This bassinet model does not have a Soothing Center (the part that provides vibration and calming sounds).

We have used this bassinet for 3 months, and I do not recommend. The mesh part of the bassinet smelled strongly of chemicals, and despite washing it several times, the chemical smell always returns. I also agree with other reviews about the legs being a tripping hazard. I have tripped over them several times. I personally didn’t use the swivel feature much, so I could have done without that. I did like being able to lower the side to get my baby out of the bassinet, but overall I don’t think this bassinet is worth it.

Good bassinet!
I really like the Halo Bassinet, albeit it’s not perfect! My biggest complaint is the mattress. It’s really thin and not well padded, so I could see it being very uncomfortable. However, my 2 month old hasn’t really had a problem with it? But I love the height- it does feel like he’s right there next to me in bed. I LOVE the mesh so I can just see in, and I find the swivel to be really handy. Like I said- biggest complaint is the mattress, but others can be purchased if it becomes an issue. The

Overhyped purchase. After a few
Overhyped purchase. After a few weeks with baby, I wish we had skipped this bassinet and gone with a simpler, more affordable option.

This is a large, bulky piece. The base takes up a lot of space, and when it’s positioned close to the bed (which is one of the features that drew me to it), it actually makes it difficult to get in and out. I end up feeling stuck on my side.

It’s also not mobile at all. That may not seem important at first, but it ended up being a big downside for

Bulky, tripping hazard legs. The mattress is more of an extremely thin pad, MAYBE an inch thick. Very uncomfortable.

Wish I could pick something else!
We made this bassinet, and when the baby came, realized it was a terrible design for us. The legs are so high and long, they don’t fit under the bed so the bassinet is not able to get close to the bed, it was not helpful after my C-section. Also, the legs are so long and high that they are a trip hazard. If I could go back in time, I would select a different bassinet. Overpriced and poor design for what it is.

Exactly as described
Overall, this bassinet did everything that I expected it to do. A few things to note are that the base legs are extremely wide and can be a tripping hazard. The only other thing that I wish this bassinet had, is a zipper to unzip the sides to grab the baby instead of having to reach over and pull down the bar throughout the night. My arm got tired having to hold the side down to soothe the baby.

My favorite thing about this item was how easily it swiveled and how adjustable it was to go

My daughter maybe slept in this for a total of 2 hours and she’s 5 months old.. the mattress is not comfortable at all, the mesh that comes down for ease of access to baby doesn’t go back into place, & the legs are bulky. The only thing I liked about this was that I could detach it and place it on the couch when she outgrew her infant lounger but still she didn’t like it.

Perfect for my soon to be grandchild! The parents to be have it assembled and next to the bed ready for the big day! Wish these were around when I was a new parent.

Let’s are annoying. I’ve hurt myself multiple times on them. The side that is supposed to come down never goes back up tight enough that the mesh net is left loose. The baby is physically able to swivel the entire thing around with her kicking. I would probably not recommend this

Extremely Uncomfortable
We had this for our son and our first and second night home he cried non-stop in it and was moving around. The "mattress" that it comes with is so thin and it lays on a hard surface. He was so uncomfortable. Night 3 we decided to try out his crib and he slept amazing. We never went back to the bassinet.
