Description

The Maxi-Cosi Romi 2-in-1 Convertible Car Seat is a rear-facing and forward-facing convertible seat that takes baby from birth through the toddler years. It works rear-facing from 5–40 lbs and forward-facing from 30–50 lbs, so one seat covers a long stretch of growth.

Weighing just over nine lbs, the Romi is notably lightweight for a convertible seat. That low weight makes it straightforward to move between vehicles or bring onto a plane. When you arrive, attach the top tether to the car seat shell and it becomes a shoulder strap you can slide over your shoulder for easy carrying.

Installation uses a 1-click LATCH system for quick setup. The seat is also certified for airplane use, so the same seat that rides in your car goes with you on flights.

The adjustable harness grows with baby for the right fit over time. An adjustable head pillow adds support as baby develops.

The Romi is upholstered in EcoCare fabric—a soft, breathable material spun from 100%-recycled plastic bottles. PureCosi fabrics and padding layer in additional softness, and both are made without added fire retardant treatments. The seat is engineered and tested to meet or exceed federal safety standards, including the federal Side Impact standard.

All fabrics and padding are machine-washable and dryer-safe. The cup holder is removable and dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup.
