Description
Perk up playtime with this full-service wooden coffee shop from Melissa & Doug that lets kids be the barista or the customer. Use the coffee maker with a flip filter and “steamer” and the drink dispenser with frother to prepare pretend espressos, whipped cream-topped lattes, tea and cold drinks. Customers may choose from items listed on the magnetic menu board, including wooden double-sided cake pops, cookies and granola bars. Then, slide the credit card in the card reader and sign the magnetic pad to pay for purchases.

is this only for little kids?
can this be used for kids the age of 10-12 because my ten year old has been begging me for this and I said maybe for Christmas I just idk

What a cool coffee pretend play experience!
What a fun and realistic barista set. I bought this for my niece and she loves it! My only negative is that I didn't have one as a kid.

Great idea - terrible quality
We got this for Christmas, the quality was very disappointing as we’ve had LOTS of M&D toys over the years with my 4 kiddos. I emailed customer service and never heard back which is also disappointing. I was hoping I just got one that somehow make it through quality control but I’ll never know as they never reached out about my concerns.

So fun, I'm overcaffinated on pretend coffee
This set exceeds my tot's and my expectations. I'm impressed by the ingenuity of the portafilter, my tot the menu and paypad.

Absolutely love this play set !
I have an almost 4yo and a 17mo old and BOTH LOVE THIS! It's super realistic (I own my own coffee shop) and they love making "lattes" for me and daddy highly recommend

Not Melissa and Doug Quality
The concept is great, and individual pieces are high quality wood. However, the cafe itself had a piece loose in the box upon opening. After using for a couple weeks, another one of the sides is actually coming off on 3 sides (bottom holding on). Not the quality I expected

cute pretend toy

So if your toddler wants to take a sip of your coffee every morning this is a cute toy for them to be occupied and think they can make their own coffee! Mine plays with this every morning while I'm having my cup of coffee. I would definitely get this in the future as a gift for my nieces/nephews. Great quality toy!

I recieved the Melissa and Doug Cafe Barista Coffee Shop in exchange for my honest review. My 3 year old daughter loved this set. She could make different drinks like coffee, tea, kid juice. I loved that this toy encourages kids to play independently. The coffee shop was built to last. I loved that it is wooden and toddlers can't break it easily.
