Defective dots
I bought two poke-a-dot books (An alphabet eye spy and Who's in the ocean) for the library where I work. Fortunately, I just purchased the two, and not all the available titles.
We work closely with an early learning center in the same building and as such have, and have had, children with ASD or other learning challenges. One of the teachers brought the series to my attention and I thought it would be a great idea to get these books.

Poor binding/construction
The same thing happened to my kids' book -- the front and back pages started separating from the cover (bound too tightly?) and eventually it torn off. I tossed this book in the recycling bin. We have the Old MacDonald's Farm one for years and it's just fine.

Defective dots!
I bought this book for my grandson because he has another version and enjoys it. The problem is that on several pages the dots do not stay down when poked. Then of course when the page is turned, the dot is already down. The book was like that from the very beginning.

I was so disappointed. This book is so cute and my daughter loves it. The binding came apart almost immediately. You can't open it and lay it flat without the heavy pages separating the binding. I called the number on the back and the customer service rep said there's nothing that can be done since the book was so "well loved ". Definitely not the quality I've experienced with other M&D products

My son loves this book and I love the concept but poor construction. Pages are coming apart at the binding after only 1 month. Wish I could get my money back.
