Safe?
I regret putting this on my registry. Pretty but boring toy. The smallest piece is small enough to be a choking hazard. The base peg piece could be dangerous. Also not confident about the safety of the paint (lead, etc.) since it's made in China. "Non-toxic" is a marketing term, not a regulatory term.

Cute but not safe

My daughter loves it. She figured it out really fast how to stack them together but the down fall is the top two rings are a little too small and she would put them in her mouth which is a joking hazard. Definitely durable because she kept throwing them and they never chipped.
