Does this version of Hatch be operate on battery in addition to being plugged into the wall?
Best Answer: The Hatch Baby Sound Machine does not have a built-in rechargeable battery or battery backup, so it requires continuous power to operate. If it's unplugged or the power goes out, it will turn off.
Can you use this without the paid subscription?

Hatch Baby
This is the first time we’ve bought a hatch baby since our newborns arrival and it’s really the best thing ever!! I love all the seamless soothing sounds, the lights are easy to turn bright or dim, and its easy to manage it all on the app!

I absolutely love the hatch baby. I haven’t had any issues with it since it’s come in. It’s my alarm clock and my sleep helper.

Doesn’t work
Won’t connect to Bluetooth and Hatch’s “solution” is to send me a new power cord? It turns on but won’t connect to Bluetooth, doesn’t sound like a power problem. I plan on returning it and buying the same Hatch I have for my 4 year old, the Hatch Rest

Perfect
My family owns 3 hatches now and we love them all! My daughter and my son both have the hatch baby. They’re easy to use, convenient and fun. My kids love picking out cute colors and sounds for alarms and stories. 5 stars!

The best
My daughter loves her hatch. We had the hatch rest plus and all of a sudden it stopped working correctly. I emailed customer service and they were so helpful. They realized it was sending an error code so they replaced it with a new hatch so quickly that it didn’t mess up my daughter’s night routine. We’re so grateful for our hatch 💕
