Description
This fast, accurate and reliable thermometer works for your whole household—baby to adult. You can use it orally, under-arm or rectally to get a reading in 8 seconds on the illuminated display. It has a comfortable tip and easy-clean design for use with standard probe covers, and a simple bubble game helps keep little ones distracted during readings.
But that’s just the beginning: It links to your smartphone via Bluetooth to give you guidance on what to do next via the free Kinsa app (for example, rest and fluids, ibuprofen or a trip to urgent care). It even allows you to track temperatures, symptoms and medications for each family member. FYI: The thermometer works with or without a smartphone, but for the features beyond the temperature reading, you need the app.

SHOULD BE ILLEGAL
if I could give 0 stars I would. we have had 3 different times this thermometer gave us readings of 100.2 with our baby girl in the first two months of life. so many tears and anxiety for no reason. save your money, save space on your registry this is useless. we have no idea how it’s still on the market! go to cvs!

Do not buy. Do not waste your money or time trying to trouble shoot
Would give less than 1 star if I could. I'm surprised this item is still on the Babylist website as a good option. My thermometer has an error message that is mentioned on the Kinsa website--so it seems like a very common error. I thought the fact that they acknowledge it on their website meant they would also address the issue (it says they will help). BUT there is no one to contact and/or no one that will reply to any messages via the website OR via email. They have automated messages saying…

Doesn’t sync well. Sometimes won’t sync at all. Sometimes date/times are wrong.

Faulty thermometer - frequent errors
Errored out constantly. I saw the ERR message more frequently than I actually saw my child’s body temperature. The use with the app makes it more complicated, not easier

Wish I could return this. I get wildly different temperature readings with every use.

Love this!
We love this thermometer so much! I don't want to have to do a rectal temp on my twins, so I appreciate having multiple options, including the underarm.
My favorite thing is that it tracks Temps to the app and then prompts you on how to respond. Super helpful for a new parent, and saves me a lot of Googling or calls to Grandma or their doctor :)
It's also really easy to track multiple kids. As a mom of twins, I get so frustrated with all the items that only support one kid, but this app is easy to track multiple. Well done, Kinsa!
