BUYER BEWARE
Received as a gift. Recently used this thermometer for my 16 month old. I noticed she was warm and per the Frida rectal thermometer she had a temp of 101.5. An hour or so later I rechecked due to her demeanor and the thermometer read 102.3 and that is when things went south. A whole febrile seizure and 911 call later I discovered that the thermometer was off by 2 degrees. When EMS arrived the Frida was reading 102.5 and the EMS thermometer was 104.5. I purchased another thermometer and sure…

Case doesn’t click closed. No point in having case
I’d like for the case to snap closed. The point of the case is for ease of storage and keeping it sanity. The case just falls off. It’s one more piece of plastic I have to keep in order. I already have a whole baby to keep in order. Why this??
Otherwise, it’s easy to use and accurate.

Inaccurate
Worked for a while but then was giving inaccurate readings and had to throw away.

DO NOT BUY.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not purchase this thermometer. It reads 2-3 degrees below the actual temp which I found out today when I thought maybe my baby didn’t have a true fever when it read 99.8. My mother instincts kicked in and I knew something was off and sure enough at the urgent care it was 102.3. I am furious. I would have went to the urgent care or ER much sooner if I knew the readings were wrong. This is really dangerous.

Easy to use but inconsistent
This was given as a gift I requested from my baby registry thinking this was best brand out there. Rectal temp in infants is supposed to be the most accurate. I never get the same reading twice in a row when I use this and I have now needed to use this on multiple occasions for my son’s fevers. I’m pretty disappointed that this is not something I can rely on for an accurate temperature.

Dangerously incorrect readings
I am such a fan of other Frida products, but as a nurse and a mom, I can’t recommend this thermometer.
The only reason I didn’t give it 1 star is because it functions wonderfully other than its main function: taking a temperature. I like that you can’t advance the probe too far into their bottom and that it reads quickly.
However, the temperature is always 2-3°F too low. This can be very dangerous because you could take your baby into the ER for supposedly a hypothermic…

I put this thermometer on my registry because it came recommended with 4/5 stars.
This thermometer is not accurate and reads SEVERAL degrees below the actual temp. I tried 2 of the same Frida rectal thermometers and both read at 93.3 degrees. At the advice of the pediatrician, I tried the Safety First thermometer and the temperature read 97.4 degrees. Had we not tried another thermometer, it would have landed us at the hospital with a barrage of unnecessary tests on top of…

DO NOT BUY
This gave my baby a 93 degree reading in which we called 911. Turns out she was actually 97.6 and it was reading her wrong. Put us in the worst panic of our lives.

10 out of 10 definitely recommend
What is thermometer before my baby was born the battery is still going I love it so much. It changes colors to let you know whether the baby is good. Has a low fever or a high fever very accurate and I would definitely recommend this for a first time mom And you could always catch it on sale on Amazon so I definitely will 10 out of 10 recommend.

Used it twice and it broke. Won't turn on now when I really need to get a temperature.
