Are you supposed to get plastic covers for this when using for rectal?
Best Answer: No. The Frida Baby 3-in-1 True Temp Thermometer is designed to be used without disposable probe covers for rectal, oral, or underarm temperature readings. The instructions recommend lubricating the tip for rectal use (for example, with coconut oil or another water-safe lubricant), then cleaning and disinfecting the thermometer thoroughly after each use.

Totally Unreliable - ZERO Stars
Used this thermometer for the first time to check our little one’s temp. Read 96.6, then 95.8. Went to the doctor and their thermometer read 98.7. Went to Walgreens and bought a Braun and it tested 98.5 compared to the Frida testing 95.5!! Save yourself some anxiety and buy yourself a Braun!

Do not buy!
Horrible. FALSE READINGS!! Reading tooooo low! Kept telling me my baby was at 95,96 but he was acting normal. Our other thermometer showed regular temp, and it was even reading ME at 96. Do not trust !

Inaccurate Rectal Teml
The only reason it gets two stars is because of the design and ease of use. It reads significantly lower than actual temp. I took my baby to the ER unnecessarily because of this, don’t get this.

Inaccurate temp readings
Temps read continuously low and resulted in an unnecessary ER visit for baby before we noticed the issue.

Garbage
Ordered one on Amazon. The temps were showing very low, clearly wasn’t working. I reached out to FM and they sent me another one. Same issue. The temps are reading 96 degrees, even rectally. Such a shame that they both have to go to the landfill.

Worst thermometer ever used.
This is the worst, least reliable thermometer we’ve used. It can’t read most of the time and when it does it is inconsistent.
