Overview
Description
Esembly diapers are made up of two products: an absorbent Inner (sold separately) and a waterproof Outer.
Waterproof yet breathable, Esembly Outers are soft, stretchy and trim-fitting. Even better, they’re made of Oeko-Tex-certified recycled fabric from 100% post-consumer plastic bottles!
The Outer is the part of the diaper that provides the containment. If anything sneaks past the Inner, you can rest assured it won’t go beyond the Outer.
The unique structure of the fabric allows for optimal transmission, so that the fabric releases vapor and heat while your baby is wearing it, keeping them comfortable longer.
Outers come in two sizes and are designed to grow with your baby. Two rows of snaps at the waist allow you to adjust the size of the waist independently from the openings at the legs. This enables you to get a perfect fit on babies with big round bellies and skinny legs, and vice versa.
As an added bonus, Outers can be used on their own (with no Inner underneath) as a swim diaper, or over disposables to contain frequent leaks and blowouts.
Here’s how it works:
- Put a fresh Inner on baby at each change.
- Cover the Inner with a waterproof Outer to make a diaper.
- Change an awake baby every 2-3 hours, or immediately if poop is detected.
- To accommodate long nighttime sleep stretches, boost the absorbency of your diaper with an Overnighter (sold separately).
- When soiled, put in the Pail Pouch until your laundry day.
If cloth diapering full-time, they recommend having 24 Inners and 6 Outers. Inners require laundering after each use, whereas Outers can be used multiple times before washing.
Launder your Inners and Outers every 2-3 days using Esembly Washing Powder (or similar clean-rinsing detergent) as per the Esembly’s 4-step wash instructions.

I bought this cover for a friend so I have no actual experience with it.
But, I cloth diapered 5 kods from birth to potty training and I will say nothing but good things about this brand. Their design is nice and looks easy to use. Whoever designed these definitely knew what they were doing.

Love getting a last chance at these final sale outers. We have been cloth diapering at home and on small outings since baby was 3 weeks old. We are sizing up to size 2! They really are blow out proof and I love lessening our waste.

. . . . . . . just do it! They are just as easy to use as disposables, but better for baby AND the planet. Honestly, the only thing that's different than disposables is the extra laundry. I have three kids so I'm drowning in laundry anyway and the extra load makes no difference to me, LOL!

I love the essembly covers. They are super trim, I love the 2 size model and they don't have a super plastic feel to them so they feel better using on baby. I love that they can double as a swim diaper and they can still be used well into toddlerhood. My son was about 5 months when we moved to size 2s. He is literally still wearing them at almost 4 when he goes swimming despite being potty trained because he likes the way swim diapers feel. my daughter is 4 months and in size one but will continue to use her brothers size 2s as well as some new prints we had to get because they are so cute!
