What weabout it
The basic version of Halo’s swiveling, bedside bassinet allows your baby to sleep safely alongside you

About this Product
  • 360 swivel and adjustable stand lets you position your baby just right
  • Space-saving design with a base that tucks under the bed
  • Retractable wall lowers and returns to make tending to baby from bed, easy
  • Sides are made of sheer mesh for breathability and visibility
  • One storage pocket

With Halo’s bedside sleeper bassinet, your baby can be near you at night, but secure in their own defined space—it’s perfect for parents who want closeness but don’t feel comfortable co-sleeping. Use the 360 degree swivel to move the bassinet in next to you when you’re sleeping, then swivel it away so you can get out of bed more easily in the morning. The retractable, locking side wall lowers to make it convenient to tend to baby from bed (especially helpful for nighttime nursing or moms recovering from C-sections). A storage pocket helps keep necessities close at hand.

Unlike larger cribs that do not come with mattress, the Bassinest includes a mattress and coordinating fitted sheet. It’s probably worthwhile to get a couple extra sheets in case of nighttime accidents and consider a waterproof mattress pad, too.

The base is heavy and extremely sturdy, yet it tucks under the bed, so the bassinet works well even in small spaces. Parents find that the base is too heavy to make the bassinet portable. Once you get it set up, it’s probably staying where it is. The good news: most find it’s too heavy to be accidentally tipped by a pet, a toddler, or even a grownup.

There are two other Bassinests in this line from Halo: the Premier which includes a built-in Soothing Center with lullabies and vibration, and the Luxe Plus which includes a floor flight, the Soothe Station and a caddy (check out the video below to see more).

A cheaper bassinet would get the same job done. For the price, it should feed my baby too 😝 I liked that it swiveled but the base was huge and heavy and I think a simpler bassinet would suffice.

Perfect way to have baby sleep close yet safe.

It’s really great for having baby close but not in bed with you. We transitioned our baby from sleeping in the bed, to the bassinet, to the crib pretty easily.

My daughter loves to sleep in it and it’s great to be able to have her close by for nighttime feedings.

The difficult part is storing it because it doesn’t break down into more than 2 parts and the legs are long and heavy- it’s a pain to put away in storage... I wish I would have known that early on so I would have saved the box.

Some people love this product, maybe we would have used it more if we had gotten the newborn canopy. Every baby is different and for our baby a dockatot worked best.

The base is huge and heavy, a great thing for keeping your little safe when they move around, but not so great in the sleep deprived hours of the morning when walking is already challenging enough without having to worry about tripping on the metal legs. The bassinet tended to wobble as well upon turning or when our baby girl would move around. And the mattress it comes with or pad, left a lot to be desired and didn’t end up getting used for very long. I really recommend another pad that’s not crunchy and be sure the feet are placed as inconspicuous as possible to avoid tripping on them.

Very helpful after c-section not to have to get out of bed to lay baby back down after feeding.

We ended up buying this last minute before our little one arrived. I was having a lot of anxiety about where I wanted the baby to sleep so we splurged, and I'm so glad we did. I had a c-section and there was nothing better than being able to have my daughter right next to me at night, yet in her own sleep space (which was important to me). She slept great in it and seemed to feel more comfortable being in a smaller place, as opposed to a crib or pack n play bassinet. My daughter is "tall" and was able to sleep in this until she was almost 4 months. She would sometimes nap in her rock n play, which is elevated, but I think having her sleep at night on a flat surface helped to make the transition to the crib very easy!
