Description
This certified organic mattress eliminates harmful chemicals and potential allergens from children’s sleep space without sacrificing comfort. The design features organic breathable organic cotton and moisture-wicking organic wool for ideal airflow and temperature regulation.
The mattress is solid, supportive and comfortable with layers of organic cotton and GOTS-approved PLA over a glueless encased coil system. It’s built on the firmer side to help support kids’ developing bones and to last from their toddler years through their teens and beyond.
Naturepedic handcrafts mattresses in an Ohio-based, certified organic factory using sustainably sourced materials. As a 1% for the Planet member, Naturepedic donates 1% or more of its annual mattress sales to environmental organizations.
All Naturepedic kids mattresses are made without flame retardants, formaldehyde, polyurethane foam or questionable chemicals.
You can also add a layer of protection with an Organic Waterproof Protector Pad (sold separately).

It's been an excellent mattress,
It's been an excellent mattress, taking my weary bones through medical school. Be warned though, the potential for a central sagging should make you reconsider your bed frame to a much more supportive one, or one that rests on the ground. I keep mine on the Zonli slat frame, which is close to the ground and very sturdy, keeping my Naturpedic well-supported and resistive :)

Bought this mattress for my 3. 5 year old when he transitioned to a big boy bed out of his crib. LOVE it so much. Very comfortable and love having such peace of mind knowing that it’s safe, organic, no chemicals etc. !

We have two Verse mattresses.
We have two Verse mattresses. We researched mattresses extensively and visited a Naturpedic store before our first purchase. After five years, the first Verse mattress still has a an earthy, sheep smell that never fully dissipated. Knowing that the odor can vary by batch, we tried again in 2026. The newer mattress had only a slight smell, it was more of a fresh hay smell. We still aired it out for three weeks so there was barely an odor when we put on the mattress protector and sheets.
