Firm yet comfortable, the Newton waterproof crib mattress is the only breathable, washable, waterproof crib mattress out there. It uses the same Wovenaire core signature to Newton mattresses, with the addition of a waterproof layer on one side for the toddler stage.

9/22/26 - baby hasn’t arrived yet, but so far we are very impressed! This is for my grandbaby and I am so happy with the quality, sand color and breathability of the Newton Crib Mattress. This is way, way better than what I had for my kids 20 years ago.

Waterproof mattress zipper issue
We received the waterproof mattress as a gift and absolutely loved it at first! Unfortunately, after only a few washes and accidents, the waterproof zipper broke and became extremely difficult to use. The zipper mechanism no longer works properly, making it very frustrating to get the mattress cover re-zipped.

Travel Bed (and regular crib mattress)
I LOVE how the mat feels. I love that it is spacious, but the configurations make it very hard to get my sleeping baby down into the bed, still asleep. The zipper feature is nice, but is too loud and wakes my baby. We bought it to travel, but am worried it won’t work. Also, the sheet cover is a little annoying since it stays on through Velcro. That makes it a little easy to pop up, or not be as tight as it should be.
We also bought a crib mattress from Newton and LOVE it! That I would definitely give 5 stars. I wish Newton made adult mattresses. I would buy one for myself.
