Fresh Finds 2017

Looking for the hottest new baby products? This year, Babylist is highlighting trendsetting products that are making parenting easier in a cool way.

Nominated by the experts at Babylist, the Fresh Find nominees were each featured on Facebook Live. The 10 videos with the highest number of “Likes” from Babylist community won a Fresh Find Awards for 2017.

Cute and Functional

Lorena Canals, maker of chic-yet-practical washable rugs, just launched their decor line. The new line includes a couple lovely mobiles as well as more unique decor items like pom pom garlands and tie-dye wall hangings. (It’s not hippie tie-dye, it’s classy tie-dye.) Some are inspired by kids motifs like ABCs, but others that echo Northern Africa or Latin America are versatile enough for anywhere in your home. So whether you are looking for a new item for the nursery, hallway, entryway or your bedroom, check out their new offerings.

They can be preordered and ship at the end of October 2017.

Sleeping Double

The super-popular Halo Bassinest Swivel Sleeper is one of the most registered-for products in the Babylist store, and now parents of twins can experience the Bassinest love, too. This new twin version lets you have both babies sleep next to you—and each other. The babies fit in their own sleep spaces in the Bassinest, which swivels 360 degrees around, so you can easily feed, change or check on both babies in the night. The whole thing is adjustable and tucks under most beds, so it doesn’t take up too much space in your room. It also comes with a nightlight and soothing sounds and vibrations.

It will be available in February 2018.

Easier On-the-Go Diaper Changes

Ever tried changing a baby in the back seat of a car? Between the baby rolling into the seat crevice and bumping against their car seat, it can be a nightmare. The Beanko Mobile Changing Station makes your back seat (or front seat) a deluxe changing station on the go. It also converts into a backseat organizer when your little one is out of diapers.

It will be available in November 2017.

Easy Formula Feeding

Created by a dad with an adopted son, this innovative bottle makes it easier to formula feed on the go. Many families who rely on formula have to tote coolers, bottles, formula, filtered water and more just to go to the park. This bottle keeps the formula in an airtight section on the top, completely separate from the water below, until your baby gets hungry. Another advantage: it doesn’t leak! That’s a huge win even for breastmilk-feeding families. See a full demo from our Facebook Live!

They are currently on Kickstarter and will be available in December 2017.

Minnie & Mickey Boxy Backpack

With a magnetic flap closure, fold-out changing station, wipes case and lots of interior pockets, the Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack is one of the best diaper bags out there. And it just got better with this classy Minnie and Mickey print. (The print is also available on their Diaper Tote.)

The Minnie and Mickey prints are available now, and on Mothers’ Day 2018, they will be launching a Winnie the Pooh addition to the new collection, too.

Less is More

The Nuna Pipa Lite is an updated variation of the Nuna Pipa, one of the best infant car seats. The Pipa comes in at 7.7 lbs, while the Pipa Lite is only 5.3lbs, THE lightest car seat out there. It also features GOTS certified organic fabrics and the chic look that NUNA is known for. (The only major drawback is that the Pipa Lite cannot be installed without the base.)

Watch Lisa throw it in the air in our Facebook Live.

Upgraded Pump Bag

One of our favorite and most practical diaper bag companies, Ju-Ju-Be, launched their new line of pump bags. The Be Supplied has a dedicated pump pocket that fits the biggest pump we could find. It comes as a tote and can convert with a shoulder strap. (The Be Pumped is more elaborate and comes equipped with a cooler bag, wet bag and changing mat.)

They will be available in November 2017.

No Hardware Crib

No one ever said assembling a crib was easy and fun. The founders at Noninoni took that as a challenge and they have made a crib that assembles without any hardware or tools! It’s available in full-size or as a mini-crib and even has a toddler bed conversion kit. And it’s beautiful and made in the United States to boot.

Just how easy is it to put together? Here’s a demo.
